Re: Luks formatted drives for casper-rw
Hi. I did not follow the whole thread through, apologies if I misunderstood. I sent out a patch to use LUKS drives as persistent storage and I think it was incorporated http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/debian-live-changes/2008-February/002320.html ___ debian-live-devel mailing list debian-live-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-live-devel
Re: Luks formatted drives for casper-rw
hey, just use unionfs and squashfs combined to set up an persisent readonly device where you can boot from. your kernel need to be patched for those filesystems. look at the live-helper. greets heiko On Sat, 16 Aug 2008 23:26:53 +0200, Daniel Baumann [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Jeremy wrote: I was referring to the casper-rw partition which I believe live-initramfs still uses for persistence? It's seems to be an easy and polite patch too. I do not know if we are in time too add it for Lenny, maybe Daniel could help there, but could you in case please rebase it on latest git and maybe provide a test suite or a test hint too? -- ESC:wq ___ debian-live-devel mailing list debian-live-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-live-devel

Luks formatted drives for casper-rw
I was wondering what types of filesystems for casper-rw a live-cd/usb will recognize? Will it recognize luks formatted partitions? If so, could someone please give me a short example of how I could set it up? Thanks so much for the great debian-live programs!
