I can confirm that this is still a problem with xl2tpd_1.3.6+dfsg-4 and 
here's the patch to fix it.

I have been running this patched version now for > 3 months and the guy 
who submitted (Sorin Manolache ) it has run it for 
more than a year with no problems.


Please fix this, its kindof annoying to have to build xl2tpd from 
patched source every time I need it.

I can confirm that the patch suggested in

indeed fix the problem.

Now can someone (IE the package maintainer) apply this to the trunk please?
