Bug#1013158: facet-analyser: vtk[6,7] removal
Hello Anton, I have just pushed a few dependencies in the -dev package in the salsa repo I did not updated the changelog. Bug#1013158: facet-analyser: vtk[6,7] removal
Hi Picca, I have just successfully cloned the git-repo. I have only got a warning "[attr]our-c-style whitespace=tab-in-indent format.clang-format=9 n" but I thinking it is not critical. Please try to checkout it again. Maybe it was salsa issue? Regards Anton Am Di., 1. Bug#1013158: facet-analyser: vtk[6,7] removal
Hi Picca, thanks for your work! Yes, it is known issue that the paraview uses an embedded version of VTK. As far as I remember there were several tries to fix it, though without visible success. Please file the bug against paraview or just add those dependencies into the git of paraview, so it will be fixed with the next upload. Thanks again for the quick reaction! Anton Am Sa., 18. Bug#1013158: facet-analyser: vtk[6,7] removal
Package: facet-analyser Severity: important User: gl...@debian.org Usertags: vtk6_vtk7_removal Dear maintainer, Debian archive has now three major versions of the VTK (The Visualization Toolkit) package: vtk6, vtk7 and vtk9. Old vesions (vtk6 and vtk7) are not supported by upstream and the package itself is not easy for the mainance. We aim to drop old and deprecated version vtk6 and vtk7 packages before the freeze of the Debian 12 Bookworm. The severity of this ticket will be raised to serious some time for the freeze. Your package depends on vtk6 or vtk7. Thus we ask you to migrate it to the latest vtk9 package.
