Bug#876841: python3-tables: Should not depend on python3-mock
Package: python3-tables Followup-For: Bug #876841 Control: retitle -1 python3-tables: Should not depend on python3-mock I agree with the initial report. The ‘python3-mock’ package may be needed for testing the build, so it should be a “Build-Depends-Indep” relationship for the ‘pytables’ source package. The binary package ‘python3-tables’ apparently does not use ‘python3-mock’ at all in the normal operation. So ‘python3-mock’ should not be a dependency of the binary package. -- \ “Do unto others twenty-five percent better than you expect them | `\ to do unto you. Bug#818739: not yet resolved by any complete Debian suite (Re: Bug#818739: opencv: Please package opencv 3.1)

The ‘experimental’ suite is not a full Debian distribution (see Developer's Reference §4.6.4.3.), which is why bug reports are not closed by uploads to ‘experimental’. Once a version that “Closes” this bug enters ‘unstable’ it will be correct to close this bug report. Since the bug is only fixed by a package in the ‘experimental’ staging area, I've applied the ‘fixed-in-experimental’ tag to indicate it's waiting for an upload to ‘unstable’. -- \ “If we listen only to those who are like us, we will squander | `\ the great opportunity before us: To live together peacefully in | _o__)a world of unresolved differences.” —David Weinberger | Ben Finney <bign...@debian.org> signature.asc Description: PGP signature -- debian-science-maintainers mailing list debian-science-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/debian-science-maintainers
