Bug#862528: libcaffe-cuda-dev: libproto.a missing in libcaffe-cuda-dev
Hi, generally a good idea, searching for libproto I ended up with a lot of "libprotobuf" results. But this might break 3rd party software. Maybe the name change should better be done upstream. greetings, Erik Am 14.05.2017 um 14:46 schrieb lumin: Hi Erik, Thank you for this bug report. Bug#862528: libcaffe-cuda-dev: libproto.a missing in libcaffe-cuda-dev
Package: libcaffe-cuda-dev Version: 1.0.0-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, libproto.a is missing in libcaffe-cuda-dev (and libcaffe-cpu-dev). This leads to the following error when trying to build e.g. v4r [1] (...) CMake Error at /usr/share/caffe/CaffeTargets.cmake:81 (message): The imported target "proto" references the file "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libproto.a" (...) The static library is indeed listed in the cmake file. So either the references to the library should be removed (if the software works without it) or the library added to the package. This problem exists in both, unstable (1.0.0~rc4-1) and experimental (1.0.0-1). greetings, Erik [1] https://github.com/strands-project/v4r_ros_wrappers -- debian-science-maintainers mailing list debian-science-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/debian-science-maintainers
