problème pour installer une imprimante lexmark x2650
Bonjour, Je n'arrive pas à installer cette imprimante. J'ai téléchargé le pilote ici: http://www.downloaddelivery.com/downloads/cpd/lexmark-inkjet-08-driver-1.0-1.i386.deb.sh.zip j'ai changé la vitesse du processeur : cpu_speed = 2000 comme expliqué ici: http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2652676#p2652676 mais si je fais : ./startupinstaller.sh j'ai ceci : Collecting info for this system... Operating system: linux CPU Arch: x86 puis ça revient au prompt mais une boite de dialogue s'est ouverte avec le message suivant : Lua error detected: While parsing install.lua: config/run.lua:1046: unexpected symbol near 'cpu_speed = 2000;' j'ai modifié le fichier run.lua avec vim (no troll please :) ), et il n'y a aucun caractère ni avant ni après ... le topic sur ubuntu conseille d'installer gtk2 32 bits, mais apt ne le trouve pas. Bref, que dois-je faire ? Deuxième solution : utiliser policykit-gnome. Tu installes la chose et ensuite tu peux configurer via un gui tout plein de chose. Pour l'utilité de policykit et consort voir sur internet, google ou autres moteurs de recherche te donneront les raisons. Mais là j'avoue que c'est assez pervers...on ne sait pas si c'est un bug ou alors si c'est normal. Rien dans le changelog qui laisse entrevoir ça. J'ai attendu plusieurs semaines en attendant de voir si ça s'arrange, mais rien. d'où l'ouverture de ce fil pour avoir des pistes. Il faut aussi bien que les gens utilisant SID se plaignent, sinon la testing puis la stable ne seraient pas ce qu'elles sont... Notons aussi que le groupe plugdev est voué à disparaitre. Mismo mensaje de error, instalé el smartctl para ver cual era su veredicto... pero luego de ese mensaje es que desaparece el disco, hasta ahora no lo vio de nuevo, así que lo doy por muerto. Problemas con reproducción de DVDs
HOla a todos, desde hace unos días estoy teniendo problemas para reproducir DVDs no cifrados. Los orginales los toma y los reproduce perfectamente, pero los grabados por mi no. Los monta, puedo navegar por los archivos, pero aparece un diálogo que me dice que no puede codificarlos que no debo tener instalada la librería libdvdcss (cuando si la tengo y cuando no es necesario porque no tienen protección). ¿Alguién ha tenido el mismo problema en los ultimos días? En este caso son DVDs que ya venía reproduciendo. Dejaron de ser reproducidos hace unos días, así que no creo que sea ese el problema. Principalmente porque pasa con todos los grabados y no con los originales. Hola ante que todo, conecen algún comando que me devuelva la capacidad total de mi disco duro y la que esta ocupada, he probado con el comando df -h , mount pero necesito algo mas exacto, para no tener que parsear tanto lo que que me devuelve la consola, lo que pasa es que estoy haciendo una aplicación que entre otras cosas le permita al usario conocer las carateristicas de un servidor remoto, gracias de antemano.

Consulta sobre actualizacion de etch a lenny
Buenas. Aunque os vengo siguiendo desde la pasarela de las news, es la primera vez que escribo a la lista. Es por algo que no tengo claro si esta correcto en mi sistema. He actualizado de etch a lenny. Decir que tras seguir las notas de actualizacion colgadas en debian, no he tenido ningun problema. Lo unico que me escama, ha sido algo que se deberia haber actualizado, segun las notas, y no lo ha hecho. Me refiero a la forma de denominar las particiones. Segun entendi en las notas, las actuales particiones del tipo /dev/hdXX, pasarian a ser manejadas de manera /dev/sdXX. Pues bien, eso en mi sistema no ha pasado. Siguen igual. A menos que yo haya entendido mal las notas, pense que el proceso del paso de hdXX a sdXX seria automatico. Incluso se preveian ciertas soluciones en el caso de que el traspaso no fuera limpio. Mi pregunta es, si el sistema esta bien asi, o si deberia forzar las unidades a ser /dev/sdXX en vez de /dev/hdXX como estan ahora. Con esto obtienes sólo los dos datos que quieras, y en el grep pones
sda1 o la partición que quieras examinar.

Hablando en serio, te pregunto: 1) has reiniciado el sistema después de la migración? 2) has revisado si hubo cambios en los archivos de udev? 3) está en uso la versión del kernel instalada por la actualización del sistema? Particularmente no he notado la diferencia en los sistemas que actualicé porque los mismos siempre tuvieron discos SATA y siempre los vi como /dev/sdXX. Esto es muy bueno, pero supongamos que no se conocen las particiones
del servidor, solo saber por ejemplo capacidad total del de disco duro del
server, ya la que tiene ocupada, gracias de antemano

intel945(aspire one) και compiz
Ένα μικρό προβληματάκι εδώ. Μάλιστα είναι τόσο μικρό που έπεσε κάτω και το ψάχνω να το βρω από το μεσημέρι και δεν το βρίσκω πουθενά. Σκέφτηκα μήπως έπεσε στο internet, αλλά δεν βρήκα και πολλά πράγματα. Το πρόβλημα είναι ότι εγώ τρέχω debian squeeze και επομένως xorg 7.3. Στα ubunta και στις fedores που δουλεύει από μόνο του το compiz δεν υπάρχουν ρυθμίσεις και xorg.conf να δεις. Δεν ξέρω τί υπάρχει σε xml, gconf και ότι άλλη @@ρια έχουν σκεφτεί να βάλουν στα προγράμματα για να τα κάνουν ποιο user friendly αλλά εγώ εκεί ρυθμίσεις δεν βρίσκω. Σκέφτηκα λοιπόν μήπως έπεσε σε ένα PC ενός γνωστού με chipset G35 που έχει 945 κάρτα. Snicky ssh λοιπόν εκεί και.καμία διαφορά ούτε στα πακέτα ούτε στις ρυθμίσεις, εκτός του ότι εκεί το compiz δουλεύει για πλάκα και μάλιστα και χωρίς xorg.conf(πρακτικά είναι άδειο). Στο xorg.0.log όμως φαίνεται ότι φορτώνουμε ακριβώς τα ίδια modules από τα ίδια πακέτα(debian testing) Ας τα πάρουμε όμως από την αρχή. Πρόκειται για ένα aspire one με debian testing/sid mixed. Κάνω εγκατάσταση το compiz και φυσικά δεν ανοίγει. Διαπιστώνω λοιπόν ότι δεν έχω direct rendering(το είχα δει από το glxinfo). Ψάχνω να βρω και γω πως να το ενεργοποιήσω. Βρίσκω σε κάποιο σημείο του xorg.0.log ότι το ι915_dri.so πάει να ενεργοποιηθεί αλλά δεν υπάρχει το αρχείο. apt-file και το αρχείο είναι στο πακέτο libgl1-mesa-dri. Συμβουλευόμενος και το http://alcor.concordia.ca/manpages/sys4/intel.4.html το βάζω και τσούπ. Η glxinfo μου κάνει το χατήρι. Έχω direct rendering. compiz --replace --mpla --mplo και.. @@. Δεν έχει compiz για μας σήμερα. Έτσι για σπάσιμο. Τότε είναι που μπήκα και στο PC του φιλόξενου ανθρώπου και άρχισα να βλέπω ρυθμίσεις και πακέτα. Xorg.0.log και λοιπά είναι σχεδόν ίδια. Μέχρι και η έξοδος στην κονσόλα της εντολής compiz --replace mpla mplo είναι ίδια μέχρι την τελευταία γραμμή του που λέει, Starting window decorator. Um exemplo tipico disso é uma figura que se intitula o ex bruxo tio chico, quem puder assista os videos dele no youtube. O cara atribui a si mesmo varios feitos como ter transado com a propria irma, ter comido fetos, ter dado tiro de 12 a queima roupa no filho e depois ter rasgado o menino com punhal e o menino ter sobrevivido. Fora que era atirador de elite da PF , funcionario de alto escalao do Banco Central aonde na sexta-feira desviava milhoes e aplicava no mercado especulativo e na segunda feira de manha devolvia tudo sem ninguem perceber. Diz que foi pra Africa dirigindo uma BMW (isso mesmo) E fora que era o Bruxo da Xuxa, Rita Cadillac que mandou ele matar o Chacrinha, do Quercia que era amante da Clara Nunes e por isso mandou mata-la. E chegou ate a gritar com o Diabo!!! Essa pessoa se apresenta ate hoje nos lugares mais simples e muitos acreditam cegamente nas historias sem ao menos ter checado. Isso mostra a fragilidade pois a fonte pode ser confiavel mas nao sabemos se a fonte chegou isso. Afinal para repassar devemos apenas clicar no enviar. E quem nao tem o sentimento de compartilhar algo interessante:? Quem ja nao ouviu que se juntar uma quantidade de aneis de lata de aluminio ou uma quantidade de selos de cigarro trocaria por um computador ou por uma cadeira de rodas? Gente, Parece que o splashy se propõe a ser um substituto do usplash. Alguém já usou os dois e pode me dizer se já vale a pena usar o splashy? Eu nunca usei nenhum dos dois, então não tenho um investimento de tempo no usplash ao qual me apegar. Mas o splashy já é maduro o suficiente? Just use aptitude safe-upgrade with cation and aptitude full-upgrade with more caution. Hi, I have Debian GNU/Linux Lenny with kernel 2.6.26-2-686 #1 SMP. I'm using GNOME Desktop. I have setup my USB Printer with system-config-printer. When I try to print an image from GIMP with menu / File / Print with Gutenprint.. command, I get the error message: GIMP Message Print with Gutenprint-message lp: The printer or class was not found. I added my username to lp group. But when I try to print this image with command: menu / File / Print... then I can print it successfully, thought, the printed image look not as I wish. I can to restart the cups with sudo /etc/init.d/cups restart command. What is the problem? How can I resolve it? Hi, I got a little problem, but I can not find a solution. I have several sections DRBD - /dev/drbd0, /dev/drbd1, /dev/drbd2, etc. on two arrays. On them I have the heartbeat. Above them is to run NFS. /etc/hearbeat/haresources looks like this: array1 IPaddr::217.31.62.10/24/eth0 drbddisk::r0 Filesystem::/dev/drbd0::/data::xfs nfs-kernel-server That's all right. Problem is how to get there second partitions. When you do this line a second time it does not work when the part drbddisk:: ...:: xfs do it twice, either. Does not anyone tried this combination? Hi, I am a GNome user and I am looking for some good tool to burn DVDs. I have a couple of DVD+R and DVD-R discs. I want to do one of the following when I burn discs: 1. Burn .ISO into a disc. 2. Copy a disc as .ISO to my hard disk. 3. Copy data to discs with multisession support. I have the following questions. 1. What tool do you use or recommend to achieve all the above? 2. Will multisession discs be usable on other operating systems such as Ubuntu, Windows, etc.? 3. Does Nautilus Write to Disc feature supports multisession? 4. The only thing is I *think* you may have to have DVD RW's (of - or +) to have multi session support. I think (and http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=798680 seems to agree) that multi-session discs will work with other OS's, but if not you could give K3B a try as multi-session discs burnt with that definetely will. However K3B is a KDE app, so you'll have to install the KDE libraries for it to work in GNOME. I think the 'Write to Disc' option in Nautilus uses nautilus-burner, and nautilus-burner doesn't support multi-session burning (see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120384 and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus-cd-burner/+bug/11264). To burn an ISO to a disc from the command line, use cdrecord: e.g, cdrecord -v -pad speed=1 dev=0,0,0 isofile.iso If you're not using an IDE burner you may have to change the 'dev=' bit. Contrary to the name, cdrecord does support burning DVD's. To create an iso from a disc, use dd. e.g, dd if=/dev/cdrom of=isofile.iso You could probably also swap the input and output around, and use dd if=isofile.iso of=/dev/cdrom to burn an iso to disc. Server aborting It seems quite a lot happened to Debian Sid recently without me being aware of it. I did 2 experiments: 1-Deleted (well, renamed of course) /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Made sure that the keyboard description in /etc/defaults/console-setup was OK. Result: X works, OK it seems, without xorg.conf, and Alt-F7 works also! 2-Feeling a little bit guilty about running X without xorg.conf, ran dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg. I expected to get the well- know litany of questions. No such thing. Instead I got: dpkg: warning: obsolete option '--print-installation-architecture', please use '--print-architecture' instead. (repeated 3 times) Now what does this mean? Where is this obsolete option set? Should users now just simply ditch /etc/X11/xorg.conf? logitech quickcam, lenny
I've been trying to get my logitech quickcam chat to work, to no avail. I've pasted some relevant info to http://debian.pastebin.com/d55219dd7 (output from dmesg, lsusb, lsmod, ls -la /proc/video/quickam, etc., etc.) I've done much googling and rtfm-ing, although I've found nothing specific to my model (quickcam chat), but many other logitech quickcams. I've loaded and m-a and modprobed gspca, qc-usb, quickcam, sacrificed my two best goats, and done the rain dance (thundering already), tried the backport 2.6.29 kernel, and run around the hills of Rome 7 times, but no joy. There is no /dev/video0, which seems to be an issue, but I am not aware of how to resolve that. I read something about mknod, but not sure if this is a potential solution, or how to use it (read the man, even). I'm a bit confused about that. Camera, camorama, cheese, skype, can not see the camera, but it is listed in lsusb. These programs all tell me that there is no relevant device. Xsane, oddly enough, does see the camera and can get a very rough image (not enough light when I tried that, perhaps) if I use 2.6.29 kernel, but not with 2.6.28. I had difficulties installing the headers for 2.6.29 (kept getting some [Error 2], despite following these instructions to load the headers: http://paste.debian.net/36920/ and attempting to get them with aptitude -t lenny backports), however, which rendered difficult (impossible) loading of relevant modules for that kernel, so switched back to 2.6.28. I did load the modules for the 2.6.28 kernel without issue, to my knowledge, except the remaining issue, of course, that my camera is not working and not seen by any relevant apps (including xsane for 2.6.28 kernel). I had the camera working perfectly with kopete, camorama, etc. in PCLinuxOS with gspca modules (but not with skype), and it was pretty trivial to get that going. In Ubuntu, cheese could see and use the camera, but not kopete, skype, etc. I didn't do much fiddling with Ubuntu, b/c I had it on here for a week before deciding I didn't want it holding my hand, and installed Lenny (why ride in the cheap seats when I can get on the mothership?) If anyone has one of these working, or knows how I can get it working, I would be muy agradecido. Various sincere attempts were made to assist me at #debian, but still to no avail. I don't seem to be able to find logs from the channel at oftc.net. I don't know how to configure mutt for mutliple accounts, and have it currently configured for a different gmail acct with imap. I think I would just make a different muttrc and do something like mutt -F /pathto/other/muttrc, or something...no? The package 'muttprofile' looks interesting, but haven't tried it because I seldom need to send mail from a different account and I use 'set-envelope-from' and edit the 'From:' for that. Even if Debian made a patch, it should be sent upstream to be added to the main trunk. It's quite annoying that one of the most used mail readers does not have such a simple feature.
