Je me demande si tu n'as pas un conflit entre les 2 solutions avec une mauvaise clé conservée dans le trousseau pour network-manager-gnome par exemple, et une autre dans wpa_supplicant.conf. J'ai eu à batailler quelques fois pour faire accepter ma connexion en essayant, reessayant et ressayant encore, en supprimant la clé dans le trousseau et en essayant encore. Pour ma part, ça a fini par marcher... J'ai viré network-manager, pour voir si la mauvaise clé vient de là, eh non. Tu peux essayer au contraire de mettre en commentaire ta conf freebox dans wpa_supplicant.conf pour la laisser gérer à network-manager. Il me semble que network-manager a été remplacé récemment par un autre packetage, mais je ne me souviens plus du nom et je ne le trouve pas. Sauf erreur, tu doit parler de gnome-network-admin mais c'est en testing que, passé en 2.22.1-5 gnome-network-admin a retiré network-manager-gnome. On en a parlé un peu sur le fil [testing] plus de réseau lancé par Gaëtan Perrier le 20/06/2009. Est-ce que qn peut éclairer ma lanterne ? D'où vient cette clé ?? Pour ma part, j'utilise network-manager-gnome mais tu dois pouvoir faire de même avec wicd. J'ai le /etc/network/interfaces minimal tel que ci-dessus, gnome-network-admin est configuré pour l'itinérant, et c'est network-manager-gnome qui gère. Je cliques sur le réseau voulu, je rentre la clé la 1ère fois (avec seahorse, tu la conserve dans ton trousseau) et c'est parti. D'autres utilisent /etc/network/interfaces (en plus ça marche sans X), mais ils seront plus à même de te conseiller là dessus (ex: sur le fil [testing] plus de réseau, réponse de giggz le 21/06/2009 : dans /etc/network/interfaces : allow-hotplug eth1 ### ## Roaming avec wpasupplicant : ### ## modifier le fichier ~/.wpa-roam.conf comme il faut iface eth1 inet manual wpa-roam /home/user/.wpa-roam.conf ## wpa-roam sort id_str comme identifiant de connexion. chaque ## connexion peut donc avoir une configuration propre. si aucune ## id_str n'est défini alors on utilise default qui fait du dhcp iface default inet dhcp Il y a un exemple de wpa-roam.conf dans les packages. ensuite tu remplis au fur et à mesure le fichier. ça marche parfaitement chez moi; Cela permet de configurer pour la freebox mais également pour ailleurs si tu déplaces ta bécane... Or je constate que la clé de cryptage (encryption key) indiquée par iwconf n'est pas la même que celle de /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf. Donc ce sont peut-être 2 clés différentes et mon problème ne vient pas de là. J'ai trouvé le paquetage qui peut remplacer network-manager. C'est wicd, mais il est dans testing et pas dans stable que j'utilise sur les 2 portables, donc le problème ne vient pas de lui. Probleme aptitude et squid
Bonjour, Je viens d'installe une sarge avec apache2, php5 et MySQL. ensuite j'ai decider d'installer squid. Le probleme c'est que lors de l'execution de aptitude install squid un message m'indique que apt va etre supprimer ! J'ai comme meme installer squid ! maintenant je n'ai ni apache, ni mysql ni php5 ? Il ne doit pas y avoir de conflit de ce genre dans une distribution. Je subodore que tu dois mélanger les sources et ne vraiment pas être à jour (d’ailleurs, Sarge est l’_ancienne_ _old-_stable. Il y a eu Etch et Lenny depuis. Tu as juste au moins 2 ans de retard.) Donc, à quoi ressemble ton sources.list ? Si tu veux rester en Sarge (pas évident : ni pratique, ni sûr), il faut que ce soit « sarge » qui soit indiqué, pas « stable ». Le mieux, ce serait de mettre à jour ton système correctement. Aspire One / Pas d'accès wifi avec wicd
j'ai migré mon A110 sous lenny le ath_pci svn r3772 et pour 2.6.26-2-686 j'utilise wicd pour me connecter sur ma fonera avec le mode ouvert (non sécurisé) : j'ai le message impossible d'obtenir une adresse ip avec le mode WPA : j'ai validation de l'authentification puis impossible d'obtenir une adresse ip j'ai redémarré ma fonera pour être sur, mais aucun changement visiblement l'association à mon ap est bonne (essid est bien celle de l'ap d'après iwconfig) , cela semble merdouiller après les logs de wicd sont -cas wpa : wpa_supplicant authentication may have failed. Bonsoir la liste, Je viens vers vous car j'ai deux problèmes de configuration sur Debian Lenny. - J'utilise une carte son( fast track) externe sur mon pc, le son fonctionne parfaitement pour toutes les applications sauf pour flash. Quel fichier dois-je modifier pour corriger le problème ? - La page de connexion( gnome) est à 1600x1024 alors qu'elle devrait être à 1280 * 1024. Une fois connectée, je n'ai plus de problème. J'ai bien tenté de modifier le fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf mais cela ne m'a apporté que des erreurs. Merci pour votre aide. Mon portable (en debian testing) est équipé d'un touchpad et avant, je pouvais tapoter directement dessus pour remplacer un click gauche. dans les logs de X tout me semble correct et je n'ai aucune configuration dans xorg.conf (il est même complètement vide !), je ne vois pas ce que je pourrais configurer pour redonner ce comportement bien pratique à mon touchpad... quelqu'un aurait une idée ? Montage automatique de repertoire distant (autofs)
Salut, j'ai l'habitude de monter mes repertoires distants grace a autofs(v4). Ces repertoires sont configures dans un ldap que je suis normalement capable de requeter. Or, je ne sais pour quelle raison mais visiblement la syntaxe du fichier auto.master a semble-t-il change et du coup je n'ai plus de montage automatique ;) Ca se passe sur une SID avec un autofs _v5_. Une idee de la syntaxte ? Witam Mam internet z Vectry. Do modemu CMTS podłączony jest AP (mam do wykorzystania trzy publiczne adresy IP), który tworzy sięć bezprzewodową linksys, z zabezpieczeniem WEP. Modem oraz AP znajdują się w przedpokoju, a notebook w pokoju. Nie chcę instalować systemu trzymając notebooka w ręku przez godzinę. Niechcę również odpiąć innych użytkowników on neta. Chciałbym zainstalować: System podstawowy, Laptop oraz Środowisko graficzne. Po instalacji muszę zainstalować również sterowniki do bezprzewodowej sieciówki oraz do grafiki. Postfix virtual domain i problem z certyfikatem
Witam Przerobiłem swojego Postfixa tak aby obsługiwał więcej niż jedną domenę (autoryzacja przez Dovecot). Już jest wszystko ok, tylko jeden szczegół. Otóż przy staraj domenie, która została przeniesiona do wirtualnych pobiera certyfikat za pierwszym razem - certyfikat z nazwą tej domeny - ale dla innych domen za każdym razem pokazuje się informacja, iż to konto podejrzanie używa certyfikatu przeznaczonego dla innej domeny. Próbowałem z smtpd_sasl_local_domain ale nic mi się nie udało. Co muszę z tym certyfikatem zrobić, jak to rozwiązać, żeby jeden certyfikat obsługiwał wszystkie domeny albo mieć oddzielne certyfikaty dla każdej? No he sido capaz de averiguar cual es la fuente oficial (la que figura con el logo) http://debian.org/logos/openlogo.svg He mirado en la web de debian, en el wiki, en la red. La putada es que es demasiado comun aparece de todo, si le dices debian's font o fuente oficial de debian o ttf debian. así que si alguien sabe cual es la fuente del logo y donde esta, se lo agradecería un montón. Sobre Openfire
Hola gente, tengo en mi red, un servidor debian lenny en el cual instale el openfire desde el paquete .deb ya que openfire no viene en el repo de debian, me esta sucediendo algo extraño con las salas que tengo creadas en el jabber. Mi servidor jabber esta autenticado contra un servidor LDAP que esta en otra PC, contra la cual también autentica el server de correo, por lo que los datos de las cuentas de correo de mis usuarios son los mismos parea el servicio del jabber. Yo cuando configure el openfire, le dije que el administrador (que es el que se puede loguear en la web de administración de openfire) era el usuario mio. Inicialmente cree como 12 salas de forma permanente en el jabber, cada una con un objetivo, pero ahora al cabo del tiempo he visto que las salas se han ido perdiendo, es decir se han borrado oh! alguien las ha borrado y no he sido yo, he mirado todas las opciones en la interfaz de administración de openfire algún permiso, alguna configuración que permitiese a cualquier usuario crear o borrar salas y a mi modo de ver todas están bien configuradas. Cuando voy a Configuración de Conferencias, el subdomain que por default viene como conference yo lo elimine y le puse conferencia, para que estuviera en Español. Cuando pincho sobre el servicio conferencia, hay varias opciones disponibles u opciones que aparecen, pero solo 2 de ellas tienen relación con el supuesto problema que estoy buscando, una es: - Administradores - Permisos para la creación de salas En administradores solo tengo agregada la cuenta mía y en Permisos para crear salas, Política de Permisos, esta seleccionada la opción: Solo algunos usuarios pueden crear salas de conferencias y debajo solo esta agregada la cuenta mía. Por lo que no me explico porque un usuario normal puede crear salas y al parecer borrarlas también, le ha pasado esto a alguien?? Alguna sugerencia?? Gracias. ___ Eduardo R. Και ειδικά αφού είναι headless και δεν βλέπεις τι κάνει. Αυτό είναι παράνοια. Το ζήτημα λοιπόν είναι ότι όταν κανει boot και ερθει η ωρα του fsck αυτο κανει ενα 2ωρο-3ωρο να τσεκαρει τους δισκους. Αποτελεσμα ειναι να νομιζει ο χριστιανος οτι το μηχανημα χαλασε και να του κανει hard reset Εχει γινει 1-2 φορες αυτο, στην τριτη τα παιξε ο δισκος του λειτουργικου και τωρα το πισι βρισκεται σπιτι μου(για χειροκινητο fsck στο /) . Κατάφερε λοιπόν μόνος του να κάνει αυτό που φοβόταν. Τι άλλο χρειάζεται για να πεισθεί να του βάλει ένα UPS και να το αφήσει επιτέλους αναμμένο; Ακομα και να του ζητησω να μην κανει hard reset, δεν ειναι δυνατον την στιγμη που τον χρειαζεται τωρα να ανοιγει τωρα +Χ ωρες Το χρειάζομαι τώρα = stays on. Σκεφτηκα να απενεργοποιησω το fsck στην αρχη. Διαβαζοντας στο ιντερνετ κανενας δεν συνιστουσε την απενεργοποιηση. Για αρχη το εβαλα στις 100 μερες μονο, και ιδωμεν Δεν είμαι σίγουρος ότι είναι καλή ιδέα η απενεργοποίηση του fsck σε κάποιον που έχει μανία με το reset. Το να το βάλεις σε περισσότερες μέρες ίσως, με την προϋπόθεση ότι όταν έρχεται η μέρα ΘΑ ΠΕΡΙΜΕΝΕΙ. Κάνε ένα crash την ώρα που γράφει κάτι βαρύ/μεγάλο και άλλο ένα crash την ώρα που κάνει fsck write-mode fix και τέλειωσες, το πήρες στο χέρι, στο επόμενο fsck το filesystem θα είναι τελείως άδειο με *σχεδόν* όλα σου τα data στο lost+found/ με τελείως αλλα ντ' άλλα permissions, νομίζω πως δε χρειάζεται κάτι χειρότερο από αυτό για να ορίσουμε πως το πήρες στο χέρι). Η τάση μείωσης της ταχύτητας που ανέφερες για το reiserfs3 μάλλον έχει να κάνει με fragmentation, πάντως. Υποτίθεται πως όλα αυτά τα journaled filesystems δήθεν δεν έχουν ανάγκη από defragmentation, αλλά αν τελικά σκίσεις το filesystem, ε προφανώς και έχουν ανάγκη. Από εκεί και πέρα, η εμπειρία του καθενός με το κάθε filesystem είναι και κάπως υποκειμενικό θέμα (πχ εγώ πάντα σπάζομαι με τα διάφορα extX, πάντα έχουν την τάση να χαλάνε στα χέρια μου όπως έδωσα και ένα παράδειγμα παραπάνω). Ελπίζω αυτό να ήταν αστείο :) To reiserfs πολύ ευκολότερα θα !...@#$% τα δεδομένα στο δίσκο και στην πράξη τείνει να έχει συμπεριφορά windows δηλαδή γίνεται πιο αργό όσο περνάει ο καιρός. Η εμπειρία μου με το reiserfs, σε όλα τα μεγέθη δίσκων και όλα τα workloads είναι το άκρως αντίθετο από αυτό που περιγράφεις. Επιπλέον, είναι ανυπερθέτως καλύτερο από το ext3. Όσο για το fragmentation, αν ο δίσκος έχει πάνω από 25% free space, θα δυσκολευτείς να πεις την ηλικία του (αν και αυτή η παρατήρηση χωράει μεγάλη συζήτηση.) Όλα τα άλλα filesystems που έχω χρησιμοποιήσει ήταν είτε πιο αργά (ext3, JFS) είτε επισφαλή για τα δεδομένα (XFS). Τί να πώ, θα υποθέσω ότι εγώ είχα κάνει κάποιο λάθος τότε στα settings ή κάτι τέτοιο. Γρηγορότερο από το ext3 σίγουρα δεν έχω δει ποτέ το reiserfs να είναι (τουλάχιστον αρκετά γρηγορότερο ώστε να γίνεται αισθητό) αλλά σας πιστεύω ως πιο έμπειρους :) Εξακολουθώ να μη θέλω να δω το reiserfs ούτε στα 100 μέτρα λόγω κακής εμπειρίας (και πόσο μάλλον τώρα που δε θα ξαναδούμε το συγγραφέα του για κάποιο καιρό) αλλά παραδέχομαι ότι ίσως η περίπτωσή μου να ήταν η εξαίρεση και να δουλεύει καλά για όλους τους άλλους :) To ext4 απέχει 8-12 μήνες από το να χαρακτηριστεί production ready και το btrfs είναι 3.1415 (περίπου) έτη φωτός μακρύτερα. Επομένως τα contemporary filesystems τα ξεχνάμε. Συμφωνώ. Αν θέλεις και 1.5 TB και γρήγορο fsck καί κάποιο contemporary filesystem (δηλ όχι chunkfs) η λύση είναι μία: partitioning. Βεβαίως αυτό το workaround δεν λύνει το αρχικό πρόβλημα: ο χρήστης δεν θα μπορεί να δει τα δεδομένα του μέχρι να τελειώσει το fsck. Η ιδέα είναι ότι δε θέλεις να μπλοκάρεις το boot ώστε ο χρήστης να μη νομίζει ότι το μηχάνημα κόλλησε (ειδικά για headless όπου κόλλησε == δεν ανταποκρίνεται στα ping). Το να μη μπορείς να δεις όλα τα 3-4TB κατευθείαν ίσως να μην είναι τόσο μεγάλο πρόβλημα :) Επίσης η δεύτερη πρόταση (να μη γίνεται το fsck ρουτίνας για όλα τα partition ταυτόχρονα / στο ίδιο reboot ) λύνει και αυτό. Τέλος, δεν μπορώ να φανταστώ πώς το reiserfsck θα μπορούσε να είναι τόσο δραματικά γρηγορότερο. Το μόνο που μπορώ να υποθέσω είναι ότι δε γίνεται καθόλου. Αυτό βέβαια συμβαίνει επειδή οι kernel developers ποτέ δεν εμπιστεύθηκαν το κομμάτι του κώδικά τους που κάνει sync :-P Τώρα τελευταία βέβαια (aka 2.6.30) υποτίθεται έχουν διορθώσει πολύ πράμα (http://lwn.net/Articles/326471/), αλλά δε νομίζω να απενεργοποιήσουν αυτό το 1 στις 30 full έλεγχο. Σε αυτή την περίπτωση (που υπάρχει δηλαδή απόλυτη εμπιστοσύνη στους δίσκους / RAID controllers / μνήμη κλπ) μπορείς πολύ απλά να απενεργοποιήσεις το fsck ρουτίνας και από το ext3. Δε νομίζω να είναι καλή ιδέα κάτι τέτοιο, ειδικά σε production μηχάνημα ή γενικά σε οποιοδήποτε μηχάνημα αποθηκεύει data (δηλαδή τελικά όλα :-P). To tune2fs ισχυρίζεται ότι υπάρχουν διάφοροι ακόμα παράμετροι που μπορεί να περάσουν απαρατήρητα λάθη στο filesystem (man tune2fs, -c και -i options). Η λύση είναι η πιο απλή. Απλά ενημερώνεις/εκπαιδεύεις πως υπάρχει αυτό το fsck που μια στο τόσο καλό είναι να το αφήνουμε να κάνει τη δουλειά του ... Αυτό βέβαια συμβαίνει επειδή οι kernel developers ποτέ δεν εμπιστεύθηκαν το κομμάτι του κώδικά τους που κάνει sync :-P Τώρα τελευταία βέβαια (aka 2.6.30) υποτίθεται έχουν διορθώσει πολύ πράμα (http://lwn.net/Articles/326471/), αλλά δε νομίζω να απενεργοποιήσουν αυτό το 1 στις 30 full έλεγχο. Κυρίως δεν εμπιστεύονται το PC-consumer-class hardware, αλλά αν δεν εμπιστεύονται τον κώδικα του ext3 που είναι αρκετά πιο απλό και πολύ πιο δοκιμασμένο, σκέψου τί θα έπρεπε να κάνουν οι developers του reiserfs :p Σε αυτή την περίπτωση (που υπάρχει δηλαδή απόλυτη εμπιστοσύνη στους δίσκους / RAID controllers / μνήμη κλπ) μπορείς πολύ απλά να απενεργοποιήσεις το fsck ρουτίνας και από το ext3. Δε νομίζω να είναι καλή ιδέα κάτι τέτοιο, ειδικά σε production μηχάνημα ή γενικά σε οποιοδήποτε μηχάνημα αποθηκεύει data (δηλαδή τελικά όλα :-P). To tune2fs ισχυρίζεται ότι υπάρχουν διάφοροι ακόμα παράμετροι που μπορεί να περάσουν απαρατήρητα λάθη στο filesystem (man tune2fs, -c και -i options). Η λύση είναι η πιο απλή. Απλά ενημερώνεις/εκπαιδεύεις πως υπάρχει αυτό το fsck που μια στο τόσο καλό είναι να το αφήνουμε να κάνει τη δουλειά του ... Στη συγκεκριμμένη περίπτωση το πρόβλημα μάλλον είναι ο κανόνας ανά 30 reboot σε συνδυασμό με τη συνήθεια του τύπου να κλείνει τον Η/Υ αυτόν συνέχεια. Το άλλο πρόβλημα είναι ότι το μηχάνημα δεν ολοκληρώνει το boot (δεν ανταποκρίνεται στα pings) αν δεν κάνει full fsck σε 4.5TB δεδομένων (αν κατάλαβα καλά). Πιστεύω ότι οι λύσεις που προτάθηκαν αντιμετωπίζουν και τα 2 προβλήματα, όπως επίσης τα αντιμετωπίζει και το να παραμένει το μηχάνημα ανοιχτό συνέχεια. Εξάλλου, δε νομίζω πως υπάρχει κάποιος στον πλανήτη που θα πήγαινε να κλείσει το scandisk σε ένα Windows περιβάλλον, οπότε γιατί να το κάνει εδώ ? Είναι άλλη περίπτωση. Το fsck που απενεργοποιείται είναι αυτό της ρουτίνας που γίνεται just in case. Προσωπικά θα προτιμούσα να το κάνω πολύ γρήγορο (μοιράζοντας το χρόνο μέσω partitions) αλλά καθένας είναι ελεύθερος να έχει τη στρατηγική του :)

Μόνο η προηγούμενη κακή μου εμπειρία που το mount είχε φτάσει να θέλει 5-6 δευτερόλεπτα μέχρι που αυτοκαταστράφηκε και ηρέμησε :p Επίσης όταν αυτοκαταστράφηκε αρνιόταν να γίνει mount καν (!) (όχι read-only, τίποτα) αν δεν έτρεχες το reiserfsck με rebuild-tree νομίζω, το οποίο ήθελε επίμονα να καταστρέψει και ό'τι είχε απομείνει (το fs που προέκυπτε συνέχιζε να μη θέλει να γίνει mount). Επίσης, το reiserfs είναι αρκετά πιο πολύπλοκο ως προς τη δομή του πράγμα που το κάνει και κάπως πιο ασταθές. Δεν έχω όμως κρατήσει hard data οπότε μάλλον θα πρέπει να κάνουμε ένα debian filesystem crash test για να δούμε ποιό θα επιβιώσει :p Πολύ πιθανόν να έχει διορθωθεί και το reiserfs. Σε filesystem με μικρά κυρίως αρχεία, μένεις με την εντύπωση ότι το head του δίσκου προσπαθεί να διαβάσει από τα plates σε Braille. Χωρίς υπερβολή, σε μια συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση νόμισα ότι απλά ο δίσκος ήταν στα τελευταία του. 2. Αν δεν έχεις UPS, δεν βάζεις XFS. Τελικά κατέληξα στα εξής. tune2fs -c 100 -i 100d /dev/md0 Τον έπεισα να μην κλεινει το πισι για οσο το δυνατον μεγαλύτερο διαστημα. [ ... ] Οι προτασεις για partitions κλπ δεν αλλαζουν κατι. Η δομη ειναι η εξης. Ενας 80ρης για το λειτουργικο (αυτος ηταν τοτε διαθεσιμος) και 3x1,5TB σε raid5 σε ενα partition, mounted στο /media/FileServer. Άρα δεν αλλάζει κάτι To fsck δεν το απενεργοποιω. Το φοβαμαι... Το πρόβλημά σου είναι ότι το μηχάνημα πρέπει να περιμένει να γίνει fsck σε ένα partition των 3.5TB (!) πριν αρχίσει να ανταποκρίνεται στα ping/ssh. Επειδή το μηχάνημα είναι headless υπάρχει δηλαδή μία αβεβαιότητα για περίπου μία ώρα (!) αν έχει κολλήσει ή κάνει fsck, πράγμα που οδηγεί τον κάτοχο να κάνει hard reset αυξάνοντας τις πιθανότητες να γίνει πραγματική ζημιά και να σου μπουν όλα τα 3.5 TB στο lost+found (σύμφωνα με όσα έγραψε ο Θάνος για βίαιη διακοπή ενός fsck που διορθώνει κάτι). Αυτή η αναμονή από την άποψη του σχεδιασμού ενός πληροφοριακού συστήματος είναι εντελώς παράλογη, δεδομένου ότι σε αυτό το partition δεν υπάρχει τίποτα που να εμποδίζει το δίκτυο/ssh να δουλέψει. Η αλλαγή που έκανες απλά βάζει το πρόβλημα κάτω από το χαλί δηλαδή απλά θα παρατηρείται πιο σπάνια, εξακολουθεί όμως να υφίσταται. Εφόσον δε θέλεις ούτε να αλλάξεις το partitioning, ούτε να βγάλεις το md0 από τα auto-mounted partitions, ούτε να αλλάξεις το filesystem, η μόνη λογική λύση είναι να απενεργοποιήσεις _εντελώς_ το fsck ρουτίνας από το md0. Αντί γι αυτό, μπορείς να κάνεις fsck manually πού και πού, ή μέσω ενός cronjob ή κάτι τέτοιο. Τουλάχιστον με αυτό τον τρόπο ο χρήστης θα μπορεί να κάνει ένα ssh (ή να μπει σε κάποιο web interface ή κάτι τέτοιο) και να δει τί γίνεται, οπότε θα είναι πιο απίθανο να προξενήσει μεγαλύτερη ζημιά. Φυσικά η λύση του cronjob μπορεί να έχει λίγο πονοκέφαλο στο σχεδιασμό αλλά υποθέτω ότι γνωρίζεις όλα τα processes που αγγίζουν το συγκεκριμμένο partition και τις ανάγκες τους οπότε μπορείς να βρεις μια λογική λύση (remount read-only στη χειρότερη περίπτωση). Διαφορετικά, υπάρχει και η λύση του netconsole / serial console ώστε πάλι ο χρήστης να μπορεί να δει τί γίνεται. Γενικά, αβεβαιότητα για το σε ποιά κατάσταση βρίσκεται ένα σύστημα για μία ώρα == bad user interface και αυτό είναι το πραγματικό πρόβλημα που πρέπει να λύσεις (ανεξαρτήτως πώς). Φιλικά, Παντελής

Números Finais do FISL10
A 10ª edição do Fórum Internacional Software Livre – fisl10 se consolida cada vez mais como um dos maiores eventos de software livre do mundo. A edição deste ano teve 8.232 participantes, recorde de público, nos dez anos de realização do evento. Os números foram apresentados na cerimônia de encerramento, às 20 horas deste sábado, 27, no Centro de Eventos da PUCRS. O fisl teve, também pela primeira vez, representantes de todos os estados brasileiros e de 27 países (Argentina, Afeganistão, Albânia, Alemanha, Austrália, Bélgica, Brasil, Canadá, Paraguai, Rússia, Estados Unidos, Uruguai, Nicarágua, França, Peru, Venezuela, Holanda, Chile, Moçambique, México, Equador, Suíça, Suécia, Romênia, Espanha, Irlanda, Índia). A maior parte dos participantes foi de homens (62%), mulheres (11%) e não identificados (27%). O perfil dos participantes foi de 60% profissionais e empresários de TI e 40% de estudantes. A maior caravana foi a de Santa Maria (RS), com 71 integrantes. E a caravana mais distante veio de Manaus (AM), com 9 integrantes. A maior caravana internacional foi a Taguato Libre, do Paraguai, com 23 participantes. Os grupos de usuários formam o coração do fisl. Este ano eles chegaram a 52, vindos de 11 estados brasileiros e de outros 5 países (Uruguai, Argentina, México, Nicarágua e Venezuela). Durante o encerramento, o coordenador-geral da Associação Software Livre - ASL, Marcelo Branco, agradeceu o trabalho dos voluntários e anunciou o voluntário destaque, Roger Zambiasi dos Santos, premiado pela ASL com um notebook. Pessoal, fui testar um jogo via wine e o mouse usado para mirar não funciona, fica tipo travado na posição, eu mecho com ele e parece que existe uma força sempre puxando ele de volta para o centro. Eu creio que estes números listados entre os {} nada mais são que os
endereços de host que ele quer elucidar, talvez possa ser entendido
dentro do contexto onde você viu a referencia.

With so much RAM swap only serves as backup. 1-2 GB should be ok. 125 GB for Debian / is... a waste :) I think something like 50 GB will be more than enough. Leave the rest for /home because this is where all user data will go. Even if you manage to fill up the 50 GB, you can always resize /home to create /var or /usr partitions. Also how do I setup GRUB to then dual boot Vista and Debian? I've only used LILO as my boot manager in the past? You don't need to worry about it. The installer will detect your Vista install (it will tell you so) and it will add a special boot entry in the grub menu. I can /dev/null the error messages like: cd $1 2 /dev/null e.g.: I get error If $1 has spaces in it Ok, but how can I grep the error message? I tried: if cd $1 2 grep -i No such file or directory; then echo badbadbad; exit; fi But it doesn't work :S thank you!

Hi List In my periodic attempts to fix my partner's Debian Etch KDE which opens OOo every time an USB stick is inserted instead of opening the folder I have set up a bare bones testing a/c on the same machine. The idea was to compare a vanilla KDE configuration with my wife's config and to see if there were any discernable differences. Nice plan except for this: When I inserted the USB stick into the testing a/c the following message popped up: A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume member Mount error name (unset) destination org.freedesktop.Hal) I thought that this may be permissions, so added the testing user to the groups that are able to load removable drives, but that didn't fix the problem. Any further thoughts on how to do this please, so that I can continue with the next step of trying to resolve the larger issue ... unless of course, this in itself points to the same underlying problem? I've used a program called DirMS on Windows XP to defrag and move all contents to the front of the partition. You can verify the location of the files afterwards using the built-in Windows defrag tool (just choose analyze). One potential problem is that there are certain system files that Windows will not allow to be moved. So if they are spread all over your drive, resizing could be difficult. I believe they are denoted in green color when using the built-in Windows defrag tool. After you've defragged and moved files to the front of the partition, you can estimate how much you can reduce your Windows partition without cutting off your Windows files. Overall, I think the easiest thing to do is grab an old hard drive and throw it in your box and put Debian on that (or maybe put Windows on that, but that's more work). Virtualization is also a good idea, already suggested by someone else. Prepartitioning, Grub location for Lenny?
I'm preparing to install Debian Lenny on an IBM R40 laptop. My old layout was as follows: hda1=primary=WinXP hda2=primary=Debian Sarge hda3=primary=swap hda4=primary=Knoppix (There's also a hidden partition with WinXP recovery stuff at the end of the drive. I'm going to leave that designated by the BIOS as hidden.) I've wiped the partitions and reinstalled WinXP on hda1. I'll again use Partition Magic under WinXP (or a parted magic live CD) to create a new layout: hda1=primary=6GB=WinXP hda2=primary=10GB=Debian Lenny / hda3=primary=12GB= /home hda4=extended=7GB hda5=logical=1GB=swap hda6=logical=3GB=Test distro (Slax, Slitaz, Knoppix, etc.) hda7=logical=3GB=Test distro (Slax, Slitaz, Knoppix, etc.) In order to get WinXP to boot during the reinstall, I did an install-mbr /hda.
