Bug#1072061: RFP: soundcraft-utils -- Linux Utilities for Soundcraft Mixers

2024-05-27 Thread Tiago Bortoletto Vaz
Package: wnpp

* Package name: soundcraft-utils
  Version : 0.4.0
  Upstream Contact: Jim Ramsay
* URL : https://github.com/lack/soundcraft-utils
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Linux Utilities for Soundcraft Mixers

Soundcraft Notepad mixers are pretty nice small-sized mixer boards with Harmon
USB I/O built-in. While the USB audio works great in alsa without any
additional configuration needed, there are some advanced features available to
the Windows driver that have no Linux equivalent. Most importantly, the USB
routing for the capture channels is software-controlled, and requires an
additional utility. For example, by default the Notepad-12FX sends the Master
L outputs to USB capture channels 3 and 4, but this routing can be changed to
input 3&4, input 5&6, or input 7&8. This tool aims to give this same software
control of the USB capture channel routing to Linux users.

Bug#972439: (no subject)

2023-09-12 Thread Tiago Bortoletto Vaz
retitle 972439 RFP: tailscale -- wireguard overlay network manager (client)
thanks

I'm refraining from packaging tailscale for Debian.
I ITP'ed without looking further, as I was excited to hack it during the going
on Debconf.

Status:

 - Among its direct dependencies, 39 will need to be packaged.
 - I had a quick look at them, and many will have extra dependencies to be
packaged as well.
 - Then I looked at the upstream view on a official Debian package for
tailscale and got some extra discouragement:

https://github.com/tailscale/tailscale/issues/7847#issuecomment-1503731931

All in all, I wish good luck to the brave one who takes on this job.

Hi nomeata,

I use screen-message in a few projects and I'd like to adopt it. If you're ok
with that I can rename this bug to ITA and get the ownership.

Thanks a lot for this nice tool and for your many years of contributions to
Debian!

  Programming Lang: C
  Description : A generic password cracker

Lepton's Crack is a generic password cracker, easily customizable with
a simple plug-in system. It can perform a dictionary-based (wordlist)
attack, as well as a brute-force (incremental) password scan.

For the incremental scan, the user can provide a regex-like expression
that will be enumerated, thus checking every possible combination. This
powerful feature effectively combines `shoulder-surfing' with standard
brute-forcing.

By default it comes with the following modules:

* md4  : standard MD4 hash
* md5  : standard MD5 hash
* nt4  : NT MD4/Unicode
* dom : Lotus Domino HTTP password
* sha1 : standard SHA-1 hash
* null : trivial 1-byte hash
