It is intended to increase the speed for low-speed Internet connections and it's suitable for both home and professional usage. ziproxy is fully configurable and also features transparent proxy mode, preemptive name resolution, operation in either daemon mode or (x)inetd mode, a detailed access log with compression statistics, basic authentication, and more. I think that some verbiage designed to clarify that this is designed to go on the server side would help desktop people. - -- Ron Johnson, Jr. Jefferson LA USA I'm not a vegetarian because I love animals, I'm a vegetarian because I hate vegetables! unknown -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHe54ES9HxQb37XmcRAgNVAJ0aIf4Xlc4F3xBEMEcmfhaunvllGQCfaIsh 6RIZ1ScvgcPnjgsSmepXuZc= =rdEh -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. I changed to: Description: a compressing HTTP proxy server ziproxy is forwarding, non-caching and compressing HTTP proxy server. Basically it squeezes images by converting them to lower quality JPEGs and compresses (gzip) HTML and other text-like data.
