It is expired, but still is not fixed. New Use case to show bug found. HISTORY: I set Keyboard Preferences to 2 keyboard layouts: USA, Rus (Russia). Shortcut for layout switching is set to Alt+Space. When I press shortcut it cycles through the layouts normally, no matter which Alt is pressed Left Alt or Right Alt. Current keyboard layout is changed every time I press a shortcut. ACTION: I add Fin (Finnish) to keyboard layout list. ACTUAL: When current language set to USA, pressing Alt+Space shortcut, it switches to Rus as expected. When current language is not USA, pressing Alt+Space shortcut, does not affects current language. EXPECTED: When current language set to USA, pressing Alt+Space shortcut, it switches to Rus. When current language is not USA, pressing Alt+Space shortcut, it switches to next keyboard layout (FIN). DETAILS: I can switch current language with a mouse. Both shortcuts (LAlt+Space/RAlt+Space) don't work normally when Latvian keyboard layout is available. Ctrl + Shift shortcut is not affected and still can be used. I am just not 100% sure that, in size_allocate, I should set the allocation to -1, -1, 1, 1 or to 0, 0, 0, 0 but still moving the window to -1, -1, 1, 1. The problem, as I picked up somewhere, is that xset dpms force on / xset dpms force off, which is ~ how gpm unblanks/blanks the screen, affects all attached screens. If the laptops built-in display is not turned off by the *hardware* (without help of gpm), gpm (I think :-)) turns it off via dpms when it is closed. Now if you blank the displays during idle time using dpms, they have to be unblanked at some time again. At that time, the internal display could now unintentionally be turned on as well (if it is not completeley turned of by the hardware anyway). I don't know how/if this is solved in oneiric.
