[Bug 432814] Re: Touchpad: Action for middle and right click is reversed since jaunty

2012-04-05 Thread Tom Arnold
Today some updates to Lubuntu 12.04 change the behaviour to double tap = right
click.
I consider that a bug and would like to see it fixed. I have a right button my
me EeePC.

synclient TapButton3=3 TapButton2=2 fixes it temporarily.

With every Fedora and Ubuntu release these problems crop up, I guess it
is because some Gnome devs think the Mac way of doing things is always
right. It is really annoying.

[Bug 532633] Re: [light-theme] please revert the order of the window controls back to menu:minimize, maximize, close

2010-03-19 Thread Tom Arnold
OK, just a short comment:
I like change and I think Ubuntu should be able to change things to be better
than their competition.
But I also use Chrome, Kubuntu and Windows and this is really hard to get used
to (I tried for weeks now).

IMO it is better to change these things with upstream in Gnome 3.0 and
not in a LTS.

Thanks to all that care about Ubuntu

[Bug 150690] Re: Compiz Gutsy : Can't drag a windows to another workspace

2008-11-02 Thread Tom Arnold
For Hardy and Intrepid: I still can't drag a window in workplace switcher
applet from one desktop to the other while Compiz is enabled.
Is there a as fast workaround? ( Dragging to the side is way slower if you want
the window to go to workplace 3 from 1. And so is clicking the window icon and
selecting move to different workplace)

[Bug 22930] Re: Newly-sensitive button ignores clicks until cursor re-enters it

Will this bug be fixed in Hardy?

This is one of my _major_ gripes with everything GTK.

* is a sad panda *

OK,

Declined for Hardy by Sebastien Bacher means it won't ..

Why did it take 3 years to be fixed? Is it really that hard to fix?

[Bug 9870] Re: Better spam filtering for evolution

2006-08-05 Thread Tom Arnold
I did not succeed in integrating spam-bayes into evolution in a easy manor, coz
i am using IMAP and things became very tricky.
I think bogofilter is the way to, because it is faster and it already has a
evolution plugin. But from what i have read it is not always working right.
And there has to be an easy way to train bogofilter from within evolution and
it should be installed with evolution.

[Bug 9870] Re: Better spam filtering for evolution

2006-08-01 Thread Tom Arnold
As the initial poster it is nice to see that this is still concerning
people. I will try to take matters in my own hand and describe the
solution with the python written spambayes. It is really neat and the
classification in spam, ham and UNSURE is really great, coz you only
have to care for the few unsure messages. I think this solution would be
best suited for Ubuntu. I´ll be back.
