It is planned to have nodejs for EPEL on all architectures supported
by EPEL. The only reason it's not currently is due to a bug with a
package shipped with RHEL which means we either need to overrde the
defined macro or get it fix (or IMO dropoed) from the RHEL package.

Define "primary arch builders" as we have primary/secondary
deliverables but architectures are x86_64 and Alternate architectures
now.

No there's not and there's no reason to say that those channel will
remain as x86 only either.

I'm a co-maintainer of uwsgi in Fedora and EPEL. Uwsgi has a subpackage for a

needs this package. Please consider adding an EPEL7 branch for

Mentioned in your original mail. ;-)

Well, I tried that,
and the only difference it shows is the timestamp for each file, which I
would expect to be different. An rpmdiff -iT of the two noarch rpms
returns nothing.

That's "Architecture independent files":
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackagingDrafts/MultilibTricks#Timestamps

I eventually figured it out. The doc package had a Requires for the
main package, which is arch-specific.

At one point, I had commented out the Requires to see if that would fix
the problem, but I must have forgotten to regenerate the SRPM before
doing the next all-platforms build, and then not forgotten to regenerate
it before doing the platform-specific builds that I rpmdiff'ed. Or
something... Whatever I did wrong, the dependency on an arch-specific
package turned out to be the main problem.

I guess noarch packages shouldn't have any arch-specific dependencies.
Is that correct?

I'm not sure that makes sense as a general default, as it's relatively rare
for a developer's laptop to 100% match the production deployment
environment, which means not using the system cert store really is a better
default for virtual environments in Fedora Workstation.

The case for using the system certs by default would be stronger for Fedora
Server, Atomic, and the base cloud images, though (as those generally *are*
deployment environments).

Cheers,
Nick.

+Subject: [PATCH] Remove utf8 option
+MIME-Version: 1.0
+Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
+Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
+
+This feature caused test failures since Encode-2.87 because it tried to
+reinterpret input strings as UTF-8 octet stream.
+
+It's application's responsibility to provide input as Unicode strings.
+This how Perl works.

Probably still
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1403352 .

We finally got a LibreOffice package in this compose, so the
Workstation live and package set installs are back to working, but the
netinst still fails on the LibreOffice dependency issues due to the old
"netinst test actually gets yesterday's packages" thing.

Still https://phab.qadevel.cloud.fedoraproject.org/T873 .

> ID: 52399 Test: x86_64 universal upgrade_desktop_encrypted_64bit
> URL: https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/52399

This happens because an F25 encrypted install done with virt-install
(which we're upgrading from) shows the 'enter passphrase' screen
differently when booting (it's in a text mode, but a text mode using
plymouth's color scheme) than an equivalent F24 encrypted install
(which shows the graphical screen). We can make the test pass by just
adding another openQA needle, but I kinda want to look into why the F25
install doesn't show the graphical passphrase screen, just didn't get
around to it yet.

> ID: 52409 Test: x86_64 universal install_cyrillic_language

This is a real new bug, GNOME crashes on startup after install by the
looks of it. Well, new to openQA, it may be a case of a known issue in
GNOME startup in Rawhide:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=674885
affecting a Russian install for some reason. But I'll take a look at
the data later and see.

These are all another real new bug, looks like all kickstart installs
fail. I'll dig into that one too.

This one looks like it just hung during package install. I thought that
bug had gone away at some point, but maybe it's still around...

Eh, I probably need to tweak this test a bit. It's not telling us
anything that interesting, when I look at the logs there doesn't seem
to be anything really striking going on.

Wouldn't it make more sense to change the vim code to load hunspell files
directly in their native format (probably by just using the system hunspell
library)?

Provide VIM SPLs

2016-12-25 Thread Fabio Alessandro Locati
Hi,

I opened a bug [0] few days ago, since I was not able to find any VI
SPLs (spellcheck files) for languages outside English in the Fedora
repos.
Initially I thought it was a 'vi' problem, but thanks to Karsten, I
understood that it's not.
I guess the basic problem is that 'vi' does not provides the SPLs files,
but those can be generated from hunspell.
I think we (as Fedora) should provide such files, and probably we should
generate them from hunspell directly.

My proposal is to change the hunspell source packages to provide this
additional file. This could be done just adding the file to the current
package or to make the hunspell source package to provide one additional
package (called vim-hunspell-XX) with the additional file.

What's the people opinion on this?
If this change is considered good, I'll go forward implementing it.

Cheers,
Fale
