Hi Pankaj,

You can have it on a signed URL so that the video is only available/
viewable on the respective domain with authentication token. You can find
the implementation in boto3 documentation.

Re:

2021-07-18 Thread Abhishek Choudhury
Hey Pankaj,

I think you can achieve this by adding an expiration date field in the
model. So for example, the respective video will be available to view only
if the today's date is between the expiration date. ( Today's date <
expiration date)

And once today's date is exceeding 1 year period ( today date >= expiration
date) , you can show a small modal/pop-up saying "hey! The subscription is
over. Please buy the subscription to enjoy the content".

Hope this helps and solves the query.

Re:

2021-07-18 Thread Benjamin Schollnick
Good luck.

If the user can play the video, then they by definition have to be able to
download the video. Unless you want to create your own proprietary streaming
mechanism, if the web browser can display the video, it has to be able to cache
the video (eg download it locally).

For example, you can easily download almost any video off of youtube, without
issue. See youtube-dl, as well as dozens of other applications that can do
this.

Yes, there are ways to make this harder, but to play the video the computer has
to be able to use some mechanism to download the video.

Message communication in both Text and Email

2021-07-18 Thread Ram
Hi,

We are planning to implement messaging functionality similar to WhatsApp.
That means WhatsApp allows users to send messages using a browser as well
as a smart phone. We are looking for similar functionality where our
application users can communicate on market place items. Is there any open
source API available to achieve such functionality.

In detailed flow:

1. A message can be submitted and received using a smartphone and the same
message can be recorded as an email
2. When user wants to reply to a message, he/she should be able to use a
browser or a smart phone
3. I guess we might need to allow users to have preferences for messaging
so that message can be streamed to the preferred device ( browser or smart
phone ).

Best regards,
~Ram

everything is working the way I want but when I try to get data into a

confused.

The error is generated by this line:

even if I enter strings for testing, for example
qs = Shipment.objects.filter(date__range=['2021-01-01', '2021-02-01'])

I been all over the web looking for possible solutions but I am at a loss.
Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions you may have.
