Expat List Tennis
I'm new to Moscow and dying to play some indoor/outdoor (if the weather improves) tennis at a 3.0 - 3.5 or so level. Can anyone suggest a good place to play tennis, preferably on the north side of town? And/or is anyone interested in playing evenings or weekends?html/html___ Expat mailing list Expat@lists.ru http://www.lists.ru/mailman/listinfo/expat http://www.expat.ru/forum/

There are a few Indians settled in russia, who run taxi service. (Yeah, I know! That's a stereotype!) Reliable guys and inexpensive. Fluent in russian. Stupid as I am, I tried them again (I am giving everybody a 2nd chance and it was tempting, because they have an ENG language website where you can order a taxi through WWW). It worked out ok a few times, but then the taxi didn't show up in time at my home for pickup. When I called them they told me the taxi is near, but can't find the address. I waited another 20 min and I ended up taking another gipsy cab to go to the airport, otherwise I'd have missed my plane. Horrible company. Unreliable and not the cheapest. There is a taxi company, that uses sms to confirm your request, with driver mobile number, and good thing is they send sms when they arrive at location, after trip they will send sms on fare. Try 477. They speak a bit of English at the call center and are very reliable. The usual rate to and from the airport is Rub 2.000 and the rate for city trips is Rub 500. Please just be careful not to let them wait to much as they charge you 10 Rub every minute after the agreed pick up time. Otherwise there is very good Airport Cooperative and you should find contact details on the Sheremetievo site.
