Hi Lucian,

Slave must be a gluster volume. Data from master volume gets replicated
into the slave volume after creation of the geo-rep session.

You can try creating the session again using the steps mentioned in this
link https://docs.gluster.org/en/latest/Administrator%20Guide/Geo
%20Replication/#creating-the-session.

Hi All,
I am planning to work on this
 bugzilla issue.
Here, when we restore the snapshots, and start the geo-replication session,
we see that the geo-replication goes faulty. It is mainly because, the
brick path of original session and the session after snapshot restore will
be different. There is a proposed work around for this issue, according to
which we replace the old brick path with new brick path inside the index
file HTIME.xx, which basically solves the issue.

I have some doubts regarding the same.
We are going with the work around from a long time. Are there any
limitations stopping us from implementing solution for this, which I am
currently unaware of?
Is it important to have paths inside index file? Can we eliminate the paths
inside them?
Is there any concerns from snapshot side?
Are there any other general concerns regarding the same?

We are thinking of eliminating path from index file, instead of replacing
it. We need to further see if it is feasible to do so. I am looking into
it.  @Aravinda Vishwanathapura Krishna Murthy  @Kotresh

We support the latest versions OpenSUSE builds, which is LEAP15.2 as of
now, for LEAP15. Please refer

However, considering your concern, LEAP15.1  packages are now built for
glustefs 5.13, 7.4 and 7.5.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention @Strahil

[1] and [2]  were discretely worked handling different issues at the same
span of time. Merging [2] was to be done before [1], which was done
otherwise.

Highlights of Release:

- glusterfs-selinux package should own the files created by it
- Fixing verification failure for ghost
- Adds rule to allow glusterd to access RDMA socket


Users are highly encouraged to upgrade to newer releases of GlusterFS and
Glusterfs seLinux at [1] and [3] respectively.

It is time to evaluate the fulfillment of our committed
features/improvements and the feasibility of the proposed deadlines as
per Release
11 tracker .


Currently our timeline is as follows:

Code Freeze: 31-Oct-2022
RC : 30-Nov-2022
GA : 10-JAN-2023

*Please evaluate the following and reply to this thread if you want to
convey anything important:*

- Can we ensure to fulfill all the proposed requirements by the Code Freeze?
- Do we need to add any more changes to accommodate any shortcomings or
improvements?
- Are we all good to go with the proposed timeline?

Requesting your help for verifying the glusterFS release 11.0rc0 upgrade
test scenarios.

*Generic Procedure For upgrade:*
1. Install the 'from release'(i.e, release 8, 9 or 10) on the specific
OS(centOS,Fedora or Debian) of your choice and mark yourself assignee for
the selected OS and 'from release' in the above
shared   spreadsheet
2. Create a replica or distributed volume with the required number of
virtual machines.
3. Follow the upstream guide to upgrade (there can be slight
differences for installs on different OSs, refer 'Package installation
guide on various OSs'  which is shared in the same mail)

5. Verify if the volume is healed  as suggested in the generic upgrade
