[Gluster-infra] [Bug 1480507] tests: Pre-requisite setup to run geo-rep test case on regression machines.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1480507 --- Comment #8 from Kotresh HR--- Hi M. Scherer/Nigel, I see that, it is creating separate ssh key pair for geo-rep( /root/.ssh/id_georep). This will not work as geo-rep won't use ssh with -i option. It requires passwordless for root with default ssh key pair (/root/.ssh/id_rsa) Testcase: ssh root@ (with out -i flag, should login with out password on all regression machines) I think previously, they had setup this and it was working on few and was failing on which it was not setup. I've seen Jeff and Amar diligently going through these new changes without reviewers. There should be a better mechanism for maintainers to subscribe or notice new incoming changes and this will greatly help. Some thoughts on this: * Github 'suggests' reviewers for PRs based on git blame. The PR author can choose or ignore to add them as reviewers. If Gerrit can suggest reviewers in the UI, it'd be great. * If Gerrit allows, you could check if the potential reviewer (based on git blame) has had reviewing activity in recent past (to filter out non active contributors), and then add them as reviewer. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1457824 Bug ID: 1457824 Summary: New branch for 'glusterfs' project called 'experimental' Product: GlusterFS Version: mainline Component: project-infrastructure Assignee: b...@gluster.org Reporter: atumb...@redhat.com CC: b...@gluster.org, gluster-infra@gluster.org Description of problem: * This is where one can push any conceptual changes for review and get it merged quickly. - To make sure we don't delay, after every 1 week if there are no merges, a patch would be merged. (If there are no -1). - Manually, it can be merged even before. * Review comments on this branch is absolutely about concept and design, and no nitpicks. even ./rfc.sh would be changed to allow (with a question) even in case of Errors. * All fundamental changes (like file type in GFID, DHT layout changes, etc) gets merged here first, and once baked can be taken as a single patch and get merged in master, which would make it to next release branch cut. * This branch would have life for 6 months, and after 6 months a new branch would be cut-off from master, so any features which can't be stabilized in 6 months, needs to be rebased at least once in 6 months to new branch. This way, it would be much easier for everyone to experiment their ideas. * As this branch doesn't need a bugzilla ID to work, having github issues (for an RFE) would be must. Not having github ID can fetch -1 review points. * Decision to merge the changes to upstream is left to the discretion of author, who can cherry-pick and push changes to master, when she/he thinks it is ready to be consumed. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): branch out from current 'master' branch ## Additional info: * This branch will have merge permission for 'amarts' user on github. * It needs to run smoke test to verify the patch and will have a scoring system of +2 for review (1 automatic score, another manual) once met, it can be merged. * It should run all the current 8hrs tests once in a week, and rpm used for the tests should be given for download. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. [Gluster-infra] [Bug 1457827] Changes to the voting system on glusterfs 'master' branch
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1457827 Nigel Babuchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||nig...@redhat.com --- Comment #1 from Nigel Babu --- On master: 1) I'm thinking we just run the tests/basic folder? 2) Do you mean netbsd builds or regressions? The netbsd build (netbsd6-smoke) itself takes a short duration and is trivial to run. I recommend we keep that remove the NetBSD voting job. Additionally, are we running the netbsd regressions on a nightly basis now? 3) We already have a 32-bit compilation test in the form of strfmt_errors. Do we want more? On release branch: As far as I can see, this seems to be "keep going as we do right now". https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1490994 --- Comment #6 from Karsten Wade--- (In reply to Amye Scavarda from comment #5) > http://www.gluster.org/git-reincarnating-remote-master-branch-so-you-can- > easily-pr-to-upstream/ is the answer to the direct one. > Unfortunately, it looks like the import done by the web developers has > stripped out all of the previous URL date information. > > What's the best way forward here? Couple of thoughts come to mind, which are a bit brute-force. I think then we'd have to have an X:Y mapping of every single source and destination as explicit full paths mapped to full paths. How many posts are there? We'd need a rewrite rule for each one. Can the HTTP server handle N 100s of these rewrites? Should seem so, yes? (It occurs to me that if you did want the full dates in the path again, we could go re-import of data. Then have a set of rewrite rules from the source stripped-of-dates-path to the new path -- rewrite rules coming AND going. Idea is to gracefully transition from the old and an interim-new to a permanent new.) If we did all the above with 301 codes, could we get the search indexing resolved too? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. [Gluster-infra] [Bug 1490994] Missing redirect on the new wordpress blog for older links
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1490994 --- Comment #7 from M. Scherer--- I suspect a regexp like: ^/\d{4}/\d{2}/(.*) to: /$1 should suffice for the blog part. Ideally, the import should have also used the settings of the old blog. A quick verification on the internet show that's in Settings->Permalink, cf the doc: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks I have set a vhost oldblog.gluster.org if people want to take a look at the existing settings there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
