I thought John made that pretty clear in the initial post of this thread.

2024-02-21 Thread Adrien Monteleone

I'm pretty sure that release was to fix a Windows-specific issue.

Pre-compiled Linux versions are available from various distributions.
Otherwise, a flatpak is also available if you need something more recent
than your distro's repo.

Re: [GNC] ANNOUNCE: gnucash-5.5-1.setup.exe

2024-02-21 Thread Stephen M. Butler
There are too many Linux variants to provide a pre-compiled version
outside of the standard package distribution channels.

I just did a pull to get v5.5-87 and am compiling it on my Ubuntu 23.10
box as I type this response.  I can share my script if you want to try
building it on your box.

This may be a repeat -- reply-all caught me because it went to other
mailing lists, some of which need moderation.

To echo the others, this is excellent news... does this also fix the issues
with the Scheduled Transactions?

Thank you!

Re: [GNC] gnucash-5.5-1.setup.exe

2024-02-21 Thread Paul Kroitor
Yes, immense thanks for your persistence and hard work on this.

I too find all my quotidian tasks run without issue, although I have not yet
tried returning to aqBanking downloads after have been forced to revert to OFX
when aqBanking disappeared from the menu.

The only very minor thing I notice is that the About item in the menu shows:
Version: 5.5
Build ID: 5.5+(2023-12-16)
Possibly this is expected / intended. Certainly not a worry.

Thanks again,
Paul
