Subject: [IMail Forum] Calendar questions

We are running 2006.2 on a Window 2003 server with dual zeon 2 gb processors
with 1.5 gig of memory.
We did a clean install and migrated users from our old server to the new one.
It's been running about a month or so and we are getting complaints on
repsonse time for both web mail and web calendar.
With no users on, it can take 5 and sometimes 10 seconds to log on to an
account. This seems kind of long. Is this typical?
Secondly the web calander page comes up and I can't tell if it's supposed to
auto log on or simply wait for the user to enter his id and password. While it
askes to save the user id and password, it never seems to take them.
Thanks for any insight,
John

[IMail Forum] Handling of trailer.txt still flawed in 2006.21?

2007-08-16 Thread Stefan Paege
Hi,

it seems that with this version trailer.txt is attached as HTML even if
the mail itself is plain text.

Problem: Some mail clients (especially on mobile phones) only show the
trailer message but skip the real mail content in this scenario.

Problem 2: Sending a mail an external address that I can access via a
web interface I see that my plain text mail is shown with an icon that
indicates an attachment. This attachment is a file named html-2.html.
This file - surprise, surprise - contains the message saved to trailer.txt.

So, for me and my users the problem seems to be a result of the fact
that IMail does now convert trailer.txt to HTML, even if it shouldn't.

Any solution?

Apologies if my last mail was a duplicate. There is a construction site

Is there a place where I can get those missing posts?

2006.2 has been pretty stable for us, the only issue is web served things are slow. Are we going to
break other things going to 2006.21? I've downloaded it and could do it this weekend, but it took 2 years
to get up the courage to move from 8.22 to 2006.2, I do have to say other than the slow web, it's been rock solid.

This was reported by one of our staff members who use Web Messaging.

After deleting a number of messages and being returned an Inbox screen
without those messages, I cannot open any message in the list no matter how
many times and how many different messages I try. The only solution is to
close and then log in again.

We are running IMail 2006.1

Is there a solution to this problem?

[IMail Forum] Phrase Filtering disabled when using MXGuard?

2007-08-16 Thread Stephen Guluk

Hello,
I'm still working to remove Cyrillic encoded emails from going to any
of our account holders. I have added charset=Windowz-1251 (with the
correct spelling of Windows) and redirected to an email address to
review the tests for false positives before I start deleting these.
Also using Body and Subject line in the settings area of iMail 2006.1

But even after a server restart nothing seems to be working. I'm
thinking that running MX Guard is disallowing the internal anti-spam
features of iMail. Does anyone know if that is the case? Would I need
to switch to Declude to be able to have Phrase filtering? I use
Message Sniffer so need MWGuard as the application that called MS

We have no customers that communicate with Cyrillic characters so I
need to block them as they make up the bulk of spam getting through
the Message Sniffer filters. Anyone?

Interesting as the only iMail filtering I seem to find is in the
outgoing messages form my server. The Phrase filtering does not work
on the incoming side. I'll have to do more tests and research.

David,
How about your BLACKLIST.subject file? That should be able to read if
a subject is formatted with a specific charset, no?

How hard would it be to create that capability of a BLACKLIST.body
feature to MXGuard? Might be useful to others

[IMail Forum] posters list function?

I'm running IMail 2006.21 and want to establish a posters list on some

there are plans to fix this in the near future? It would be nice to have
it work again

Betreff: [IMail Forum] Phrase Filtering disabled when using MXGuard?

Hello,
I'm still working to remove Cyrillic encoded emails from going to any of our
account holders. I have added charset=Windowz-1251 (with the correct
spelling of Windows) and redirected to an email address to review the tests
for false positives before I start deleting these. Also using Body and
Subject line in the settings area of iMail 2006.1

But even after a server restart nothing seems to be working. I'm thinking
that running MX Guard is disallowing the internal anti-spam features of
iMail. Does anyone know if that is the case? Would I need to switch to
Declude to be able to have Phrase filtering? I use Message Sniffer so need
MWGuard as the application that called MS

We have no customers that communicate with Cyrillic characters so I need to
block them as they make up the bulk of spam getting through the Message
Sniffer filters. Anyone?

Regards,
