Yes, that's really one of only two obviously implicated commits I saw in the 
diff. I don't have the insight to gauge whether either of them could have 
plugged a leak, but it was significant enough to be worth noting.

The other possibility of course was CentOS glibc issues, but that seemed likely 
to have been noticed independently of Jetty. Notably I had not patched Java 
itself in the intervening span.
