Ah, sorry, somehow I overlooked that you used 5.0.80 -- with the AppImage, I
can reproduce the problem. I can generate the trace myself then, no need for
you to do that. Thanks!

It seems that digiKam uses all CPU cores only by using the options "Scan again

By using "Skip images already scanned" it uses only one core.

Yes, that is the line I'm looking for. Yes, in the AppImage QtAV does not find
any audio backends. There may be a lack of sound support in the CentOS version
to create the AppImage. Gilles wants to see what it could be.

[umbrello] [Bug 123633] new diagram type: object diagram

2017-02-26 Thread Ralf Habacker
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123633

Branch work/123633 has been merged into master.

The following fixes has been applied after the merge to git master to fix
issues with the implementation:

1c382a7 Fixup of c91a4bf.
e5fd427 Do not write unrelated xmi attributes for UMLInstance.
c91a4bf Do not write unrelated xmi attributes for instance widgets.
509d7a2 umbrello-diagrams.dtd: Add element 'instancewidget'.
9676daf Keep getting widget name in ClassifierWidget::paint() in sync with
ClassifierWidget::calculateSize().
09347ce Enable drag and drop of instance widgets from list view.
cb210c0 Rename class CmdRenameUMLObjectInstance to CmdRenameUMLInstance.
1702611 Merge duplicate references to i18n("Instance name:") into
UMLObject::toI18nString().
317ccaf Fix incorrect i18n name for ot_Instance in UMLObject::toI18nString().
7372cd8 Keep instance and class name edit widget in the same order in
ClassGeneralPage.
de2c7a8 Remove duplicated implementation for entering instance name in class
ClassGeneralPage.
1732503 Move UMLObject::m_instanceName to UMLInstance where it belongs.
111e448 Limit object diagram support to master branch for now.
3a03de1 Fix duplicated label imported from frameworks branch.
f459e4b Change order of "rename" context menu entries for object and instance
widgets.
8bab98e Add layout config files for object diagrams.
beee90f Cleanup code for case WidgetBase::wt_Object in
ListPopupMenu::insertSingleSelectionMenu().
abb0b7e Fix bug showing "New"->"Class" in object diagrams context menu.
8cc52e3 Indention fix.
343297d Add missing ':' to UMLInstance objects in UMLObject::toI18nString().
fb7630d Indention fix.
077b5ac Fix instance attribute width calculation for displaying instances in
ClassifierWidget.
6ff72fc Fix calculating of width in ClassifierWidget on showing instances.
a4294f9 Add loading cursors from embedded pixmaps.
dfc5c0a Indention fix.
859d9b0 Merge multiple usage of i18n("Rename object...")
796b901 Add implementation of ListPopupMenu::mt_Rename_Object for instance
widgets.
3b3eb3c Allow assocations between instances.
61a916f Add default diagram name for object diagrams.

Remaining issues:
Implementation does not follow UML 1.4 standard because of using umbrello
specific XMI tag UML:InstanceAttribute. Additional UMLInstance is the
classifier and do not references a classifier which creates non sharable and
incomplete classifiers.

Pressing "Continue" starts "Debug" if program is not running

Changes the kdevdebuggershellui to make the "continue" action visible when the
debugger is not running, otherwise the "continue" action would be disabled.
Triggering the "continue" action when while no debug is running will have the
same effect as triggering "debug" action. The "continue" action for running
debugs remains the same as before.

Committed on 26/02/2017 at 23:53.
Pushed by aacid into branch 'master'.

Fix bug in kfiledialog.cpp that causes crashing when native widgets are used.

This patch makes kfiledialog functions that did not already do so test the
value of d->native before referencing d->w. This is important because if
d->native is non-null then d->w will be null and referencing it cause an
immediate crash. This was the case on Windows builds of okular when the file
chooser was opened.

I don't know if this is the same issue, but it may well be.

My system log is getting spammed every few seconds with the following line:

kdeinit5[19264]: log_kio_sftp: special(): polling

I don't have any active SFTP connection right now, but Dolphin seems to have
some dead sockets:

sftp.so [kdeinit5] sftp local:/run/user/1000/klauncherTJ2531.1.slave-socket
local:/run/user/1000/dolphinwX8815.8.slave-socket
...

When I kill those sftp processes, I suddenly get a credentials window for a
connection I used hours ago (I remember that I needed to try several times,
because some connection attempts simply didn't return). Not sure if this is a
Dolphin or KIO issue.

Using KDE 5.9, kio kio 5.31.0 on Arch Linux

[krita] [Bug 376950] Krita doesn't read alpha channel from tiff files

Could be. I reported this because PS reads transparency from that file and
Krita doesn't... Also in PS you can save file without alpha channel and turn
off transparency and transparency will be still there (and no alpha ofcourse).
Maybe PS is saving transparency "elsewhere" when transparency option is off.
To discard transparency from that file I had to save without layers.

[kexi] [Bug 376970] Adding table relationships in Query Designer using drag does not work

2017-02-26 Thread Jarosław Staniek
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376970

Workaround: add new relations in the SQL still works (using WHERE tableX.fieldX
= tableY.fieldY).

By the way, the issue only relates to using drag and drop and does not affect
queries that are already saved: existing relationships show and work.

Bug ID: 376970
Summary: Adding table relationships in Query Designer using
drag does not work
   Product: kexi
   Version: 3.0.0
  Platform: Other
   URL: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=221=139027=3

 Component: Queries
  Assignee: kexi-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: stan...@kde.org
CC: a...@piggz.co.uk, in...@fables.co.za
  Target Milestone: ---

Adding relationships in Query Designer using drag does not work:

1. Start the query designer
2. Add two or more tables
3. Drag a field from one table and drop onto a matching field from another
table

Expected: Relationship is added between the tables.

Current bug: No effect

It's a regression compared to 2.9.x.

Here is what I did:

ffmpeg -i '/media/data/Family
Pictures/2016/2016-12/20161203/20161203_142535.mp4' -c:v libx264 -crf 23 -c:a
aac -strict experimental -q:a 100 -map_metadata 0 '/media/data/Family
Pictures/2016/2016-12/20161203/20161203_142535_x264.mp4'

You can see both the source file and the output file in the command. There is
no non-latin symbols in the file names. digiKam detected new file
20161203_142535_x264.mp4 in the directory and crashed. FFmpeg encoding was
still in progress.

[valgrind] [Bug 370028] Reduce the number of compiler warnings on MIPS platforms

2017-02-26 Thread Ivo Raisr
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370028

Remark by Mark Wielaard:
After the number of compiler warnings caused by -Wcast-align is greatly
reduced, the following configure check for arm32 should be removed from
configure.ac:

if test "X$VGCONF_ARCH_PRI" = "Xarm"; then
   AC_SUBST([FLAG_W_CAST_ALIGN], [""])
else
   AC_SUBST([FLAG_W_CAST_ALIGN], [-Wcast-align])

[plasmashell] [Bug 376966] New: Keyboard input does not work for some applications

2017-02-26 Thread Silver Salonen
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376966

Bug ID: 376966
Summary: Keyboard input does not work for some applications
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.9.2
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: silver.salo...@gmail.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Keyboard input in some KDE applications just does not work sometimes.
2 certain applications where it does not work during every session are:
  - The menu widget (does not matter whether Application Launcher or
Application Menu) - in there the first letter is reflected, but after no more
letters are accepted.
  - Alt+F2 launcher - no input works whatsoever

It seems that it's most likely so for any KDE applications that are started at
session startup (eg. Konsole from the last session). I have not seen this
problem in any non-KDE applications (Thunderbird, LibreOffice, VLC, terminal
applications, ...).

I have had this problem already like a year or so, but have been just living
with it (work-arounds like copy-pasting phrases written in some other
application). Also, some weeks ago I upgraded to some beta release by accident
(when playing around with repositories) and in there the problem was gone, but
as soon as I downgraded to stable release again, it re-appeared.

Fixed since some time now

commit 5b53e3a02f7173c868323b10ac3e03deb7ff4ff7
Author: Milian Wolff
Date: Tue Nov 15 23:26:53 2016 +0100

Fix use-after-free in usage of libbacktrace.

We passed the c_str of a temporary std::string to libbacktrace,
which stored that in internal data structures. Later on, that dangling
pointer was accessed leading to subtle bugs which for odd reasons
did not became apparent until recently. Running the interpreter
through valgrind easily showed the problem though.

This fixes the 'failed to read executable information' error messages
emitted by heaptrack, and also ensures the profile data attributes
costs to the correct modules.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375776

I fixed the code of kdesvnaskpass, few steps of the porting to KF5 were
missing. I could not test if this change fixed the bug, that's why I did not CC
it in the commit message.
It may have fixed the bug as kdesvnaskpass does not print error messages
related to the command line parser on the console anymore.

This is the commit:

Hello
Printouts are very small , like a post stamp.
If I print from Digikam to an Adobe PDF file, then I can print 4x6 borderless

It will make not a difference , if I scale the Picture in the printermenu or
not.

is to:

into the Problems view, when cppcheck is in progress.
 2. Display a message "No problems found." in the Problems view, after cppcheck
finished with no output.

The reason for this is that we use QSaveFile [1] to safely save data to disk:
It saves to a temporary file, and on success, the temporary file is moved to
the final location. This leads to this bug, bug avoids data loss in case of a
crash (e.g. power outage). Let's track this in bug #358457.

We track these problems here:
- https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354405 Files are unlinked on save
- https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358457 Kate removes hard links

This is a duplicate of bug #333577.

If you want to edit files as root, please follow:
https://blog.martin-graesslin.com/blog/2017/02/editing-files-as-root/
In short, use: SUDO_EDITOR=kwrite sudoedit

I'm not sure how.

Often when an application crashes, an error handler pops up that helps generate
a back trace etc. In this case that is not happening.

[valgrind] [Bug 376956] New: Memcheck crashes on access(NULL, F_OK) done by Free Pascal application

2017-02-26 Thread Daniel Glöckner

The crash happens when mc_is_defined_asciiz looks at the first byte of the
pathname argument of the access syscall. For some reason the Free Pascal system
library wants to call access with NULL, but that should not make Memcheck
crash. The question is why get_vabits2(NULL) returns VA_BITS2_DEFINED. It does
not crash on a C application that only does the access(NULL, F_OK) call.

Please see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376565

This bug affects all KDE applications, not only Kate/Kwrite and related...

I had to decrease the font size to workaround the issue, but now it looks too
small. Is there a way to make the fix to apply to a bit bigger fonts?

I have a 2560x1440 screen and force 144 dpi font size with default font size to
11 px. In that condition auto spell checking is not visible, I need to decrease
it to <= 10 px, which is too small for my system configuration, but for now at
least I recover auto spell checking... :-/
