Yes, the answer from Nikon (I speak German) is already annoying, also because I

I have the same problem, my openvpn connections are not shown. I must always
start nmtui-connect, in this tool I can start the openvpn connection without
problems.

A special detail is, this problem occurs only when I connected via wifi. When I
plug in my cable, the vpn connections are shown and I can connect. I have > 20
Wifi Accesspoints in my neighbourhood. It is very useless to display all these
wifi accesspoints priorized, when I'm already connected with wifi. It would be
useful to show other possible connections, like vpn connections on top and
after these connections the wifi accesspoints. 80% of my shown wifi connections
are under 5% signalstrengt, so the wifi accesspoints coud be shown at the end
of the list, ordered by sinal strength.

Hi,
indeed we removed it for optimization.
Perhaps you are the only people which used it. Sorry for that.
But it reduces memory allocation etc.
So it was removed for it.

We will not readd it.

[kmail2] [Bug 383878] New: custom fonts for message list themes option missing

2017-08-22 Thread ak
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383878

Bug ID: 383878
Summary: custom fonts for message list themes option missing
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.5.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: dummycapst...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 107458
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=107458=edit
screenshot

Dear KDEPIM devs/users,

gentoo has made kmail 5.5.3 stable as of today. And, unsuspectingly, updating
the world got me into some issues with kmail:

1) it seems I lost the message list theme font editing capability. The one
where you can cutomize the font for sender, subject, date and all those bits
of email in preview pane.

Just in case, the setting I am talking about is here:
Settings > Konfigure KMail > Appearance > Message List > Default theme >
Configure > pick the theme and see Advanced tab and right click on the fileds
(see attached screenshot)

The previous version of the kmail( kmail-4.4.2017.04) from the tree had all
the bells and whistles. You could chose any font and/or custom color. The new
version allows you select custom color, but only allows you make the font
either bold or italic which is unfortunate as the my choice of fonts make the
message list pretty poorly readable as it looks too bunched up and lacks
visual clarity, unfortunately.

I grepped kmail-4.4.2017.04/messagelist for "font" and it has plenty going on
with regards to the custom font functionality for those fields in a theme. And
I am not talking about "softening". My point is about the customization which
was present in "previous" version. The new version seems to have rather poor
functionality. Is this a planned and conscious choice or perhaps a regression?

Can we please have those options back?

2) there is no possibilty ( at least it seems so ) to chose cutom font for
unread messages list.

I saw a bug report regarding point 2) which was supposedly fixed, alas the
last reporter on it said it came back.

Please, can you please point me to a resource where I can read about these
minor but pertinent issues.

[k3b] [Bug 383835] Crash after closing audio project

Not sure what I can add. k3b is GIT cloned less than a day ago. All Qt, Plasma,
KDE is compiled from source with no added patches. For me, this has been a
consistent bug since the Qt5 port. Can try looking further into it in the next
few days.

[okular] [Bug 383877] New: Vertical okular_part toolbar should split page number widget

2017-08-22 Thread nwf
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383877

Bug ID: 383877
Summary: Vertical okular_part toolbar should split page number
widget
   Product: okular
   Version: 0.26.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: ijp6ibn3mvbq1cvhnt2xyeulhs6...@cmx.ietfng.org
  Target Milestone: ---

As #315053 notes, it is possible to add the page number widget (containing all
of a previous button, a current page text box, an indication of current
position, and a next button) to the toolbar.

However, when the toolbar is vertically oriented, the result is unreasonably
wide. It would be nice if either

* this widget recognized the vertical nature of the containing toolbar and
broke itself into multiple horizontal pieces (e.g. [prev next] [current page]
[N of M])

* the constituent objects were available as independent toolbar widgets. This
already appears to be somewhat the case, as there are explicit "Previous Page"
and "Next Page" widgets already.

Thanks!

2017-08-22 Thread Piotr Mierzwinski
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383876

Bug ID: 383876
Summary: Parser stops work when I have opened several files
   Product: kdevelop
   Version: 5.1.1
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Language Support: CPP (Clang-based)
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: piotr.mierzwin...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

During work I opened many files. KDevelop takes 1.6GB ram. Still I have opened
15 files. In one of them (header) I comment some member, which is used in cpp
file. I switch to cpp and I wait till every usage this member will be
underlined as error. I wait, wait and wait. Couple minutes passed. Usage of
member is still not underlined. I refreshed file (F5) and member is underlined.
After that I uncomment the same member in header file. I switched to cpp and
see like usage is underlined. Again it takes several minutes and nothing
happen.
For sure refresh is required.
I'm not sure what it depends on. I doesn't observe this is I have opened only
couple files.
Editor view is split in vertical, so I have 2 editors.

there is no problem with 42.3.
for those using opensuse 42.2 i advise you to upgrade to 42.3 but not by using
update tool but by installing from 0 the 42.3. this does not touch you home
partition. you must install again non default apps.

remember make a backup.

i do this for a friend using 42.2.

in my case i must add this info.
- to solve the problem i use 4 auxiliary repos :
KDE Extra
KDE Applications
KDE Framework5
Qt5

i do not advise this solution. even if you are an expert because You should
expect other problems:
- until version17.08 I met only one problem with the 17.04.90 kmail not
functional for almost a week.

2017-08-22 Thread uli
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383263

The scroll bar is not the problem - you can scroll to e.g. personal contacts,
highlight it but then you don't reach the edit or whatever buttons below
because they are below, not on the screen. If you have a look at the screenshot
and compare that window on a screen with higher resolution you can see that the
buttons are at the bottom and not visible on my screen (screenshot shows the
full screen). IF the window with the scroll bar would be smaller (you can
scroll through anyway) then the overall window of the akonadiconsole could be
smaller so that the buttons appear on screens with smaller resolution.

[kwin] [Bug 383873] New: KWin (KDE Plasma 5) crashed while closing Spectacle (another application was being launched before)

2017-08-22 Thread Simao Gomes Viana
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383873

Bug ID: 383873
Summary: KWin (KDE Plasma 5) crashed while closing Spectacle
(another application was being launched before)
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.10.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: xdev...@outlook.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: kwin_x11 (5.10.4)

Qt Version: 5.9.1
Frameworks Version: 5.37.0
Operating System: Linux 4.12.8-2-ARCH x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Archlinux Packages

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I was editing a screenshot using KolourPaint, closed that, then wanted to close
Spectacle and as soon as I clicked on close it crashed. I remember that I
accidentally clicked on Pronterface before clicking on KolourPaint so maybe it
is due to the application being starting. Wasn't able to reproduce.

The crash does not seem to be reproducible.

I set a folder to register default.
At the first capture, the folder proposed with the command "save as" is "/"
At the second and more capture, it is ok.
With the command "Save" it is ok every time.

Is it possible to have the good folder with the command "save as" at the first
capture?

I cannot connect to my VNC server (Windows10, Tiger VNC for Win64 1.7.0) using
KRDC. When I try to connect I can see only blue screen with permanent
"connecting" status in the window. The output from the terminal is only:

The output from the Tiger VNC Server log:

When I use TigerVNC Viewer v1.6.0 on Linux everything works fine and I am able
to connect to my VNC server.

Also when I changed VNC server config and force it to use RFB version 3.3
everything works fine and KRDC is able to connect to the server.

Maybe this is libvncserver issue ?

after upgrading from 17.04.3 to 17.08.0 the applicaztion can't be used on
Windows, i can add to project files (like ... 1 video .. 1 image .. .1 Mp3)
but when i move a second type of content to time line.. i have the "stop"
pointer of mouse.. can't add anything..

example:
drag the video on time line... WORKS
drag the same video on the time line on another channel... WORKS...
drag the MP3 to timeline... CAN'T DO THAT.

if i open an old project with 2 different types of item already placed on
timeline.. moving 1 of this hang the application.

i'm using latest FFMPEG.. LATEST KDENLIVE.. LATEST version of Windows 10 64.

[ring-kde] [Bug 383655] Coredumps Galore

2017-08-22 Thread Emmanuel Lepage Vallée
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383655

--- Comment #5 from Emmanuel Lepage Vallée ---
Umm, it might be another bug on your system. It's very strange/problematic
because the backtrace is totally inconclusive (as you already noticed).

On my system (still locked to Qt 5.7 as it is the minimum version supported by
Ring-KDE), The Qt bug from above is the *only* problem I can see when quitting.
Here's a simplified backtrace when Ring-KDE is complited with `-ggdb` and it's
debug symbols intact:

Application: ring-kde (ring-kde), signal: Segmentation fault
Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1".
[Current thread is 1 (Thread 0x7f1190357740 (LWP 2622))]

[KCrash Handler]

#7 0x7f1198fb02c7 in __libc_start_main () from /lib64/libc.so.6
#8 0x0046adfa in _start ()

If I mitigate that one, it quits cleanly (without memory leaks and in an
orderly fashion).

The backtrace you report above could have been caused by this issue as it could
have trashed the heap and caused random backtraces unrelated to Ring-KDE.

However, that theory goes down the hole if you have Qt 5.9.1... I got a
Dockerfile for Arch to test the build, but it doesn't help with this issue as
it is clearly a bug *in something else* that leaks into Ring-KDE and cause it
to crash. I will need to install a full Virtual Machine and investigate. It
still worth understanding/fixing even if it's not in Ring-KDE itself, but as
Arch have terrible support for debug symbols, it wont be easy...

One thing I would appreciate if you could try is (in a terminal):

export QMLSCENE_DEVICE=softwarecontext
QMLSCENE_DEVICE=softwarecontext ring-kde

before executing Ring-KDE. That should help detect if the bug is in the video
driver. If it is, there's nothing I can do. I hope it's not, as having a crashy
3.0 release on system similar to use would be catastrophic...

If that doesn't work, the next step (assuming I can't reproduce) will be using
valgrind on your system. Are you familiar with valgrind?
