Besides being narrower, I should also mention this bug is newer, what means it
should be updated with the details of 365936 instead (such as version and
platform).

Bug 365936 is not exactly a dup of this because it reported the same issue, but
for every part of the Dashboard - not only documents but all applications
displayed by it.

Indeed there is. That doesn't diminish the problem, though:

1. Mousing over the truncated lines of text one at a time is a frustrating
experience.
2. Tooltips don't work with touch-based user interaction where there is no
concept of hovering the cursor over something, and the Dashboard appears to be
a very touch-centric user interface.

There's a tooltip on hover (unless you disabled tooltips in System Settings).
