[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1629960] Re: Suspend Fails

2016-10-05 Thread Robert Venters
Thanks Joseph! Unfortunately (and so very frustratingly), I'm not able
to replicate the issue at this time. My machine had been impacted
through all of last week and, as of testing further today, my machine is
suspending successfully.

I'm not familiar with updating the status under this condition, so
please change as appropriate. If the issue continues, I'll install the
upstream kernel and test further prior to providing further feedback.

Title:
  Suspend Fails

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When putting the system to suspend, the following occurs:
  - All monitors go to sleep
  - System activity stops (HDD, network, etc.)
  - System stays powered on and does not suspend (power light, fans, etc.)

No keystrokes have been found to recover from this state. Ultimately,
the system needs to be rebooted. Holding the power button to kill the
system, then reboot, seems to be the only resolution.
