[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1976503] Re: Power cycle USB ports on shutdown/reboot
This bug is awaiting verification that the linux-mtk/5.15.0-1030.34 kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-jammy-linux-mtk' to 'verification-done-jammy- linux-mtk'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification- needed-jammy-linux-mtk' to 'verification-failed-jammy-linux-mtk'. If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1976503] Re: Power cycle USB ports on shutdown/reboot
Picked upstream commit 83810f84ecf11dfc5a9414a8b762c3501b328185 instead of the SAUCE version. Note this has the order of turning off USB2 and USB3 ports turned around compared to the SAUCE patch (first USB2, then USB3). ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Jammy) Status: Confirmed => Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-oem-5.14 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1976503 Title: Power cycle USB ports on shutdown/reboot Status in HWE Next: New Status in OEM Priority Project: New Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in linux-oem-5.14 package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in linux-oem-5.17 package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in linux source package in Focal: Invalid Status in linux-oem-5.14 source package in Focal: Fix Released Status in linux-oem-5.17 source package in Focal: Invalid Status in linux source package in Jammy: Fix Committed Status in linux-oem-5.14 source package in Jammy: Invalid Status in linux-oem-5.17 source package in Jammy: Fix Released Bug description: [Impact] USB storage can be stuck in USB reset loop after reboot.
