[Kicad-developers] clarification on kicad manual

2015-06-11 Thread Marco Ciampa
Translatin' things you usually stumble on various quirks.

I wonder if this is the right place to talk about this or if it is better
not to disturb devs and create an ad-hoc doc ml, anyway:

This: Getting_Started_in_KiCad.adoc:319

NOTE: You can rename any default shortcut key by going to *Preferences*
- **Hotkeys**. Do not forget to save the new keys with *Preferences* -
**Save preferences**.

is wrong since the program saves immediatly any change in hotkey config.

Since also there is not an easy way to reset hotkeys to default, see:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/+bug/1395442

if someone is working on this could please also correct the manual?

TIA

I know a joke about UDP, but you might not get it.

If you find any documentation that is incorrect, please feel free to
update the documentation. No one will or should be offended.
Developers often forget or don't have the time to update the docs after
making a change. Yes, as developers we should do a better job of
keeping documentation up to date. I'm as guilty as anyone for keeping
the documentation up to date. I have to update the CvPcb documentation
to reflect the recent changes myself. Hopefully I can get to it this
weekend.

Thanks,

Wayne

I already updated the Kicad manager and Cvpcb doc.
So they should be OK.

But feel free to have a look at it.
