I ticked one last option that was not ticked and seems more important

I would swear that yesterday, I could not edit a thing and the Account info
form that i was filling during the transfer was giving me a permission
denied
error. Today I can edit some things in the interface.

Anyway, thanks for taking a look at it and we should invite fmarier to the
gandi team so that he can transfer the domain ownership to us. The
normal transfer won't work anyway.

Hey,

I took a look at transfering the domains libravatar.org and libravatar.com
to the shared Libravatar account
but the problem is the domains are already registered at Gandi and in that
case, I believe, the correct process to
follow is this:

Another thing is that i have somewhat limited set of permissions on the
Libravatar organization so that I can't
e.g. modify account informaton. That was not the final blocker but just
mentioning.

I created the new account named Libravatar with the registration email 
d...@libravatar.org and added Lars, Oliver, Clime and myself to the 
“Admin” team. You should have received an email invitation by now. The 
team currently as very broad rights, we can tune them if needed.

Let's create a new account since I'm the current owner and I'd rather not be
involved in the DNS stuff anymore.

The transfer will presumably be easy since the domains are already hosted on
Gandi (though in my personal account).
