[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64984] EDITING: Creating table with GUI - table could not be saved
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64984 thack...@nexgo.de changed: What|Removed |Added Version|4.1.0.0.alpha1 |4.1.0.0.beta1 Keywords||regression --- Comment #1 from thack...@nexgo.de --- Hello Robert, *, I have switched the version field to 4.1.0.0.beta1 :) Was it not available, when you opened this bug ;? And I set it to regression, as it was possible in 4.0.3. If I am wrong here, feel free to change it back ... ;) As I have found the bug first and reported it to the Germanophone discuss list, I want to confirm Robert's observation ... :( I have tested it in two ways: 1. File - New - Database 2. Click through the Database Wizard until you can finish it. 3. Give it a name (and change the path to save it, if you want ... ;) ). 4. Choose either to create a table in design mode or with the help of the wizard (it does not matter, which one you choose) 5. For simplicity's sake, choose to create it in design mode 6. Enter Name, Address and City (or whatever you want ... ;) ) in the field names column. 7. Either click on the save icon or choose File - Save or press CTRL+S. 8. Confirm to create a primary key (here I was missing the possibility to save the table ... :( ). 9. Click on the save icon again or use CRTL+S. Nothing happens ... :( You could also try to close it via ALT+F4. You get the dialog, that the file was changed and if you want to save it. If you confirm to save it, nothing happens ... :( Expected behaviour: LO should ask for a name for the table and save it. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40457 --- Comment #3 from chtfn stephane.guil...@gmail.com --- This is still the case for LO 4.0.3 Another motivation for that change is that in most scientific publications, captions for tables are situated above the table (as opposed to figures). https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64985 --- Comment #2 from Tyler tyler8...@gmail.com --- You're absolutely right. I did not even know there was a difference between the two. I just installed LibreOffice using the Software Center, and that was the default functionality when a report is created in Base. There was another package in the software center that contained the actual report builder, and it works as intended. I just did not know to go out and look for and install that package as well. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64998 --- Comment #2 from Bugcruncher libobugcrunc...@gmail.com --- Hi Cor Nouws, I think that that is something different. Edit » Paste Special (only text and numbers checked) works fine, but Paste Icon in Standard Toolbar » Paste as Plain Text shows the problem, also after I pasted 1 time successfully with Edit » Paste Special. This happens since I updated from 3.6.6 to 4.0.3 The strange thing that the cell to where I pasted still shows the correct currency formatting, but as reported the number looking string is left aligned, and when I do a calculation (=A2/2) I get error #VALUE!. And it's definitively pasted as string, for A2 I see 1234,56 € instead of 1234,56 in the Input Line. Because of thi May be I should mention: German UI, German Localization, WIN7 For me it looks as if in 366 the Icon - Plain text has enhanced number recognition (or how it might be called in English) = ON by default for a single cell, and OFF in 366. At least I see when I try with source contents in A1:A2 and Paste that as plain text to A3(:A4): With enr = ON I get currency values, with enr = OFF I get the unexpected string result. And it seems 4.0.3 has enr = OFF by default, what might have been different in 3.6 and before (at least I never had to think about that). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65009] New: EDITING: Disabled AutoCalculate does not disable autocalculation of diagrams
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65009 Priority: medium Bug ID: 65009 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: EDITING: Disabled AutoCalculate does not disable autocalculation of diagrams Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: cson...@halmai.hu Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.2.2 release Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. make a small spreadsheet. For example: A1: 1 A2: =2*A1 2. Create a diagram from the two cells. That is, select them and apply Insert = Chart menu item and finish it by the Finish button. 3. Got to cell A1 by clicking on it. 4. Disable Autocalculation by removing the tick from the menu item under Tools = Cell Content = AutoCalculate 5, Change A1 from 1 to 10. Check if Autocalculation is really off: A2 remains 2 instead of changing to 20. That's OK. Current behaviour: The diagram is changing to indicate values 10 and 2. Expected behaviour: The diagram should not be refreshed and should indicate the original values 1 and 2. Explanation: in case of having diagram that depends on huge amount of cells, well, it requires pretty much CPU time to refresh the diagram. I suppose the goal of disabling AutoCalculation is to avoid repeated background calculation and make the editing more comfortable. The fact that diagrams are recalculated in case of each cell modification breaks the work. That's why I think diagrams should not be refreshed if AutoCalculation is switched off. Or, at least, it should be possible to switch off diagram recalculation in a separate menu item. Thanks.
