I would forward my files, except they contain information about myself and others that I would not feel comfortable sharing. I just put up with my issue as an annoyance. Often when I have entered an new bit of data into a table (and want to be able to select that newly entered item from within a drop down box elsewhere on my form) I just click on to an number of different fields and/or cells in tables and then come back to the cell that I need to refresh the drop down selections for. The option to refresh the control is then no longer grayed out and I can refresh the control, select the new item in the drop down box, and carry on.
