 administrator.

 I'm wondering if the is a MediaWiki-wide bug, or just Wikia's.

Wikia bug if they're doing something stupid like populating the user

 This is really the first time I 'm posting to this list since I figured this

 http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Mailing_lists.

 So I 've been using MediaWiki for a while now, and all the links in the Wiki
 contain the IP address of the Wiki server (in red below). For instance:

 Quick start document for adding/deleting circuits
 [[http://10.32.6.11/wiki/images/9/96/MegaVision-QuickStart.doc
 QuickStart]]

[[Foo]] are for wikilinks, IE: to pages on the wiki.
[http://www.foo.com] are for urls.
Do you mean
[http://10.32.6.11/wiki/images/9/96/MegaVision-QuickStart.doc QuickStart]?

 1. How do I do this? Where is all this text stored?

Depends, see above.

 2. Is a global find-and-replace the best solution, or is there an
 alternative?

Depends, see above.

 3. Was there a way I could 've avoided using the server IP in these links?

[[Media:Filename.doc]] will give a direct link to uploaded files and not
take you to the description page.

 *Is a Open Source license solid, reliable.

Yes

 *Do I really get the credits.

You will always own the copyright of your work unless you hand it over.
Offering your code under an Open Source license is not giving that
copyright away, it just means you're allowing others to use it under
your (the license) terms.

It looks like angle brackets got mangled on import, which is one
problem. In addition you might need to install ParserFunctions.

 Ah, I suppose they are. I generally dislike using colors on IRC

 see a configuration value anywhere in the docs for it.

Stripping (Perl, adjust accordingly):

sub strip{
my $text = shift;
$text =~ s/\cC\d{1,2}(?:,\d{1,2})?|[\cC\cB\cI\cU\cR\cO]//g;

return $text;

 Hi all,

 I upgraded my wiki after full backups from 1.13.1 to the 1.15.0 quaterly
 release. I tested some of the features and when trying to view the history i
 get the following error

 A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the
 software. The last attempted database query was:
 (SQL query hidden)
 from within function ChangeTags::listDefinedTags. MySQL returned error
 1146: Table 'idt.mw_valid_tag' doesn't exist (localhost).

 When setup to my previous php version with the migrated mySQL DB the history
 feature works fine.
 2 questions:
 * Is it safe to put back my WIKi version 1.13.1 running on the migrated DB
 * How to fix the issue with the history feature ?

Did you run the update script?

That's likely because your site is configured to use something from meta
instead of using something locally. Fix that, and your problem will go away.

You need to run the upgrade scripts
