Re: [Nut-upsuser] snmp ups Status: Not supported

2007-03-30 Thread Arnaud Quette

2007/3/29, Charles Lepple [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

You may have to rebuild the debs from source - I think feisty uses
glibc 2.5, which is at least a version or two newer than dapper's
glibc.

Let me know if you need more details on how to do build the debs -
it's not necessarily obvious, but it's not too difficult once you get
the hang of it.

no need guys, I've already worked on all this and MGE makes it available ;-)
Add this to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://opensource.mgeups.com/ubuntu binary/

This works for Dapper / edgy / Feisty...

(Yes, I know I still need to give some love to the package page, but
I'm busy on HAL and other things for now...)

Good call, Kjell
I upgraded to nut-snmp 2.0.5 and now status is displayed correctly.

Thanks !

now i just need to figure how to install that version on my ubuntu dapper
production server ... ;)

[Nut-upsuser] snmp ups Status: Not supported

2007-03-28 Thread Massimo Martinelli
Hi

I set up my ups with driver snmp-ups, and it get recognized as a AEC T2003.
In the nut-cgi upstats page input/output/load are displayed corectly, but the
Status field is marked as Not supported.

Is Status important to initiate shutdown in case of low battery ? Will my
server shut down correctly ?

thanks
Massimo

I include upsc [EMAIL PROTECTED] output:

battery.charge: 100.0
battery.runtime: 000.0

I'm not familiar to the snmp driver but i noticed that there have been
some changes made to the ietf mib for 2.0.5.
But i can't find anything in the changelog.

But Niels Baggesen have made many changes in the trunk. So if the 2.0.5
does not work, You may try the development trunk from svn.

Kjell
