Re: [old-chevy-truck] brake pedal return spring
my spring is hooked to the shoulder bolt and the other end goes to a bracket that is aattached to the filler panel next to the motor. Thats where it was when i got it 30 yrs ago. Hope that helps thanks mike 46 1/2 ton - Original Message - From: Mike Burns [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Monday, October 9, 2006 8:20 pm Subject: [old-chevy-truck] brake pedal return spring To: Old Chevy Truck old-chevy-truck@yahoogroups.com I am rebuilding or restoring a 1940 ½ ton pickup. There was no return spring on the brake pedal, so I don?t know where one should anchor to. There?sextra space on the shoulder bolt the attaches the master cylinder clevis to the pedal, so I assume that one end of the spring attaches there. I don?t see a real obvious place for the other end though. Can one of you guys fill me in on this.
