Re: [Paraview] Trouble building the ParaView sources
No worries. Turns out it was badly configured environment variables. I think there was some recursion going on in there somewhere, and so it said "Configuring..." and never returned. I got it sorted out for now. Thanks! Re: [Paraview] Trouble building the ParaView sources
Hmm...nevermind. i think I just don't have my CMAKE environment setup correctly. Let me tinker with that for a bit before I need more help. Re: [Paraview] Trouble building the ParaView sources
Thank you for the help, Jutta. When you say "There are many of them, takes some time"...do you mean hours? So far I've tried running ccmake and cmake-gui and executing the configure, but once it starts doing that, I see absolutely no indication that it is doing anything else. Nothing prints to the screen, "top" doesn't show that cmake is using any CPU, and when I use cmake-gui, the little progress bar does not move. If it's that slow of a process, than I can just leave it for a day and come back, but it seems more likely that something is wrong. I also had to set the CXX environment variable to the path of ccmake. I'll hit 'g' and then ninja-build after that to see what happens. Thank you for the help so far!
