I believe I couldn't do that in the 2.30 version. What if you press Ctrl-E (“expunge” folder)? works as it should, but I wasn't referring to clearing out the trash. I can reproduce it anytime. Delete mail with del. It disappears from inbox, refreshing won't bring it back. But when I then click on the trash-folder it's not there. Then going back to inbox and it's back again. Guess I have to try another e-mail client like thunderbird, to see if it is maybe the server. Could you open a bug on upstream bugzilla and add it there? I'd do it myself but without any way to reproduce it's kind of hard to explain.
