Thanks Bastien for the explanations, I'm reassigning to xine-lib.

 Hello,

Yesterday I installed mozplugger in order to use it in
conjunction with iceweasel. However, epiphany has picked it
up and I cannot see a way of preventing epiphany from
 loading it.

 mozplugger has stuck itself in
 /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/mozplugger.so, with symlinks in
 /usr/lib/iceweasel/plugins and
 /usr/lib/iceape/plugins/. I guess epiphany-gecko picks up
all .sos from one of these locations.

This issue just passed its 8th birthday. Maybe, one day, XUL will
provide an extension manager.

Cheers,

Bug#452222: Annoying border around hyperlinks

When viewing a PDF with a hyperlink around normal (black, not blue)
text, historically xpdf has drawn a blue border around the link and
 evince has not.

I find these borders distracting and irritating, but can find no way
to disable them. Please add an option to disable these borders.

I see what you mean, I have seen them in xpdf. However, I have tried on
a few documents with such hyperlinks, and I can't reproduce the issue.
Do you have a sample document that shows this behavior?

Thanks,

Bug#450707: dbus-monitor output during respawn

2007-11-21 Thread Josselin Mouette
Hi,

Le mercredi 21 novembre 2007 à 14:55 +, Jon Dowland a écrit :
Please find attached two logs of dbus-monitor --session and
one of dbus-monitor --system, both captured whilst the
 respawning stuff was happening.

I think you forgot the logs.

Loic: Have you re-assigned this because you know that
gnome-session is the culprit, or is it a place to dump
reports where the exact cause is not known?

gnome-session is a possible culprit, but according to upstream it is
respawned by a dbus client, which cannot be gnome-session.

Aha! found the culprit - pidgin-rhythmbox in my case (not in
the archive yet, but my ITP is #420605) - I'll pass this on
to the upstream bug and to pidgin-rhythmbox's tracker, too.

(mildly embarrassed that it's this)

Thanks, as always, for your help,

gconf2 REMOVED from testing

2007-11-21 Thread Debian testing watch
FYI: The status of the gconf2 source package
in Debian's testing distribution has changed.

  Previous version: 2.20.0-1
  Current version: (not in testing)
  Hint: Package not in unstable

The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal
reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments
were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the
reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is
probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the
actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals.

Bug#452344: More info

2007-11-21 Thread Bernard Gray
It was brought to my attention that perhaps some extra info was required - I

# echo /usr/sbin/gdm /etc/X11/default-display-manager

then start gdm with

# /etc/init.d/gdm start

This draws the error because of the following test:

$ grep Not starting gdm.init -B 2
  start)
if [ -e $DEFAULT_DISPLAY_MANAGER_FILE -a
$HEED_DEFAULT_DISPLAY_MANAGER = true -a $(cat
$DEFAULT_DISPLAY_MANAGER_FILE 2 /dev/null) != $DEBCONF_DAEMON ];
then
log_action_msg Not starting GNOME Display Manager; it
is not the default display manager

I hope that is enough info -

Regards,
Bernie
