Bug#542392: azureus: Refuses to start
Adrian Perez wrote: You don't need to do the extra steps (although they don't hurt at all), you need to investigate is your JAVA_HOME is persistant, then who's setting it. Check your ~/.bash* files, /etc/bash.bashrc, the like, you know. Yes!! It was set in /etc/profile. I must have put it in there myself, but cannot remember why or when. After I commented it out, the new azureus worked perfectly. Perhaps a warning about this in README.Debian would be good idea: Make sure that you don't have JAVA_HOME or JAVA_CMD environment variables defined, otherwise the new version of Azureus may FAIL. Check by means of env | grep JAVA . Or something. Hi Thanks for notifying of this. I think this was a quick way of lets disable this, that never got enabled again (or cleaned up). Namely because false || something always yields something, so there would no point in doing false || something. Though, please note that due to way it is programmed, if you see this warning, then setting MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME is actually considered (since it is pre-appended to LD_LIBRARY_PATH regardless) - so setting it ought to have an effect[1]. That being said I intend to remove that part, since it does not properly handle nor detect the xulrunner libraries, which (I believe are detected by the settings in /etc/gre.d/* - or at the very least remove the warning. As far as I can tell, the internal browser works just fine on my machine and I get that annoying warning. ~Niels [1] at least assuming you do not have /etc/gre.d/*. If it is it will locally override the runtime to be run for azureus; which will work too, as long as it points to a valid java runtime root directory, which wasn't your case. I think it's pretty clear by now, but anyways, if I run: JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun azureus i could run it with sun's without updating alternatives. E her shy, now, a bit--whether he took a great interest in the improvement of the position of women. The question appeared to strike the young man as abrupt and irrelevant, to come down on him from a height with which he was not accustomed to hold intercourse. He was used to quick operations, however, and he had only a moment of bright blankness before replying: Oh, there is nothing I wouldn't do for the ladies; just give me a chance and you'll see. Olive was silent a moment. What I mean is--is your sympathy a sympathy with our sex, or a particular interest in Miss Tarrant? Well, sympathy is just sympathy--that's all I can say. It takes in Miss Verena and it takes in all others--except the lady-correspondents, the young man added, with a jocosity which, as he perceived even at the moment, was lost on Verena's friend. He was not more successful when he went on: It takes in even you, Miss Chancellor! Olive rose to her feet, hesitating; she wanted to go away, and yet she couldn't bear to leave Verena to be exploited, as she felt that she would be after her departure, that indeed she had already been, by those offensive young men. She had a strange sense, too, that her friend had neglected her for the last half-hour, had not been occupied with her, had placed a barrier between them--a barrier of broad male backs, of laughter that verged upon coarseness, of glancing smiles directed across the room, directed to Olive, which seemed rather to disconnect her with what was going forward on that side than to invite her to take part in it. If Verena recognised that Miss Chancellor was not in report, as her father said, when jocose young men ruled the scene, the discovery implied no great penetration; but the poor girl might have reflected further that to see it taken for granted that she was unadapted for such company could scarcely be more agreeable to Olive than to be dragged into it. This young lady's worst apprehensions were now justified by Mrs. Tarrant's crying to her that she must not go, as Mr. Burrage and Mr. Gracie were trying to p inline: voltameter.jpg___ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers

libapache-mod-jk override disparity
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the override file for the following file(s): libapache2-mod-jk_1.2.28-2_amd64.deb: package says section is web, override says httpd. Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell, httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video, xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package at the next upload. Bug#496461: azureus: does not bind to tcp/udp4
reopen 496461 -- I'll reopen until you get it fixed. Wow, you have a tricky interface configuration there. I can say much with your provided information, but AFAICS you're using a class C private network, so probably you're not connecting to internet directly, instead through: a) a proxy b) a corporate firewall c) a router d) many more... ;) So when you talk about port-forwarding, I was assuming you've configured NAT for the incoming tcp and udp ports from your public interface to your machine; please correct me if that isn't the case. I think the problem is not in azureus at all. After contacting the developers, the pointed me that the code in azureus binding to :: will comprise ipv4 and ipv6. It will bind to ipv6 when available only, but ipv4 will always work. Please provide the log of the Network Status and the NAT/Firewall Test. -- Best regards, Adrian Perez adrianperez@gmail.com signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part ___ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers
