OK. I understand.
Anyway, an alternative can be to use an other icon set. It is going to

be very easy to find remplacement (I can do that if you want).

Thanks for the quick answers,
Sylvestre

IIRC even if javahelp sources was open sourced there was still some
files with wrong license. I think we removed
them from original sources to create upstream zip. But it is long time
ago so I am not sure.

OK. Thanks for the feedback.
Are you OK if I look for some remplacements with a compatible license and
I insert them into the package ?

It is ok. Just let me know what will be replaced and I will look at it.

Thanks

Bug#550864: fixed

2009-10-18 Thread Debian Archive Maintenance
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

jikes-kaffe | 2:1.1.8-5.3 | all
 kaffe | 2:1.1.8-5.3 | source, all
kaffe-common | 2:1.1.8-5.3 | all
 kaffe-dev | 2:1.1.8-5.3 | all

kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any
mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the
earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically
removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and
close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package
was superseded by another one.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 550...@bugs.debian.org.

Calling setState on a CheckboxMenuItem (with the GTK awt peer) causes
an ItemEvent to be triggered, although Sun's documentation says that
this should not happen:

Note that this method should be primarily used to initialize the
state of the check box menu item. Programmatically setting the state
of the check box menu item will not trigger an ItemEvent. The only
way to trigger an ItemEvent is by user interaction.

Trying the war from inside
http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net/alfresco/alfresco-war-1.1.1.zip (or any
other sf mirror of that file) in a sarge tomcat4+kaffe deployment, fails
with an IOException for one of the jar files inside. Yet the failing jar
seems fine from an inspection with unzip and from running the jar manually
with gcj (which does fail too, but as expected because there is no main
class inside).

Googling around for the exception message learns that the kaffe zip classes
are known to be buggy, and supposedly using those from classpath-common
might help. However I have no idea how to do so.

Hi,

After creating the role 'admin' and a matching user, and logging in
(btw: if I log in with a wrong user, how can I get rid of it?), I am
greeted with the above (Subject) error.

I'm using kaffe, so that could be a reason. I've not tinkered with my
installation at all after installation.

The JSP and servlet example seem to work, basically, so the installation
is not really borken.

Per our conversation on IRC with Adam Heath (doogie) I wanted to ask you
to change /usr/lib/kaffe/.system to a non-hidden dir name. The actual
problem I hit is that dot-dirs in /usr/ are a regarded as a sign of a
comproised system. In particular 'chkrootkit' fails on its everyday
check seeing such a directory.

Cheers,

Package: kaffe-pthreads

Severity: wishlist

Refering to #328648 I would like to ask whether using gjdoc in the
Depends is *really* necessary.

Quoting #328648:

| So, while it is technically possible to loosen the dependency on
| gjdoc, it is neither feasible nor advisable. The number of
| important and grave bugs the kaffe package would recieve would be
| significant, since users expect javadoc and the other standard
| Java(TM) command facilities to work as expected.

Why not add gjdoc to Recommends (which is handled nearly as depends
by some frontends) and use a solution like perldoc does:

#!/bin/sh
# place-holder, diverted by perl-doc
echo You need to install the perl-doc package to use this program.
exit 1

I would really appreciate if I don't have to install gjdoc if I only
want to use kaffe[-pthreads] itself.

regards,
-mika-

I am using konqueror with KDE from Debian unstable.

You need a login for yahoo.com.

Go to games.yahoo.com

Select hold 'em poker in the middle left column.

This should bring you to a commercial page which you can click through with the
link on the top of the page.

You are now at the lounge overview page. You might need to verify your password
at this point.

Select one of the Global Game Rooms on the list. For instance 'Social Lounge'.

This opens a new window which tries to load a java applet. Nothing ever
happens, the applet never finishes
loading.

PACKAGE: VERSION:
tomcat5 5.0.30-9
kaffe 1.1.6.91-2

hi,
after installing tomcat5-admin and tomcat5-webapps, i couln't connect
anymore to port 8180, it returns connection refused. The system begans
to eat up 100% of cpu-usage. the tool which eats it seemed to be
kaffe-bin.

After removing both packages, i could connect again to port 8180 ,and
kaffe-bin is running not with 1% cpu usage .

the packages which are remove, were:
tomcat5-admin
libstruts1.2-java
libcommons-validator-java
liboro-java

all that, after a fresh net-install.

i use debian unstable

thanks

Bug#550524: fixed

2009-10-18 Thread Debian Archive Maintenance
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

  cglib2.1 | 2.1.3.dfsg.2-2 | source
libcglib2.1-java | 2.1.3.dfsg.2-2 | all
libcglib2.1-java-doc | 2.1.3.dfsg.2-2 | all

The full log for this bug can be viewed at http://bugs.debian.org/550524

This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is
a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing

Hi,

I've recently uploaded a new release of cglib (2.2) which superseed old
cglib2.1 source package. This new release is backward-API and ABI compatible
with 2.1 so this should not cause any regression.

Could you please update your Build-Depends to libcglib-java ?
