November 2014, Debian FTP Masters wrote: Version check failed: Your upload included the source package tomcat6, version 6.0.41-2+squeeze5, however stable already has version 6.0.35-6+deb7u1. Uploads to squeeze-lts must have a lower version than present in stable. so this is due to the changes to dak implemented by Mark Hymers during the MiniDebConf in Cambridge early November. (Mark can you please explain what other changes (relevant to LTS) you did?! So, basically, for those following along, Holger asked me to make sure that squeeze LTS couldn't end up ahead of stable (wheezy). I therefore added the following version constraints: mhy@franck:~$ dak admin v-c list-suite squeeze-lts squeeze-lts MustBeNewerThan oldstable squeeze-lts Enhances oldstable squeeze-lts MustBeOlderThan stable squeeze-lts MustBeOlderThan proposed-updates This probably means that in some cases (especially those involving new upstream versions), stable security updates will need to hit p-u before the LTS uploads happen. If this is a problem, we should just revoke those parts of the version constraints and leave only the oldstable ones. Thanks, Mark -- Mark Hymers mhy at debian dot org Well, the thing about a black hole - it's main distinguishing feature - is it's black. And the thing about space, your basic space colour is black. Bug#768835: Bug #768835: FTBFS: Could not add file '.../JavadocFixTool.class' to ZIP

With the bugfix for bug [2845612] above this policy has been changed so robots are only banned if the cause a security violation or they could not be loaded or started (meaning that they are not able to run). In addition, ALL security violations are always written out in both the main console and robot's console. A message will be written out in the main console like xxx has caused a security violation. This robot has been banned and will not be allowed to participate in battles. == Painting == * With the bugfix for bug [2852860] a change was made so a robot will now receive this message in its console window, if it is painting too much between actions: SYSTEM: This robot is painting too much between actions. Max. capacity has been reached. * Notice that a robot is not allowed to perform an unlimited amount of paint operations for two reasons: 1) It takes up a lot of memory as the painting operations are recorded in a buffer before being processed, and potentially this buffer must be recorded to a file (for replays). A robot is allowed to use up to a maximum of 64 KB per action. An average painting operation like e.g. fillRect(x, y, width, height) takes up 15 bytes, meaning that more 4000 painting operations should be possible, which is a lot. 2) It takes a lot of CPU cycles to process the painting buffer to the display making the painting slow if the buffer is too large. * It is possible to remove the limit of the robots painting buffer by using the command-line option: -Ddebug=true Version 1.7.1.4 Beta (26-Aug-2009) --- This version is dedicated for the RoboRumble@Home community where many issues seen with the RoboRumble client have been solved. On 11/23/2014 04:16 AM, Mark Hymers wrote: On Sun, 23, Nov, 2014 at 10:29:59AM +0100, Holger Levsen spoke thus.. Hi, On Sonntag, 23. Hi Holger, Thank you for coordinating this effort. I'm not aware of any reason why the squeeze-lts packaging/version of tomcat6 wouldn't also be appropriate for wheezy. An updated tomcat-native package should also be part of the update; building 1.1.31-1 from testing/unstable on wheezy fine. (I just built both of these, the squeeze-lts tomcat6 + tomcat-native 1.1.31-1 on a wheezy chroot and ran them without any issue.) The Java Team is cc:d on this thread. Emmanuel has been in much closer contact with tomcat6 since this effort started, so he may have some input. Synopsis: Updating tomcat6 for squeeze-lts put us in the awkward position of having a newer tomcat in old-stable than in stable; Holger is helping to get this resolved. I am recommending that tomcat-native 1.1.31 accompany any updates to tomcat6 6.0.41. Bug#770457: eclipse-rcp: debian/rules build-arch does not install some files in eclipse-rcp
owner 770457 ! thanks On Fri, 21 Nov 2014 12:56:31 + James Cowgill james.cowg...@imgtec.com wrote: Package: eclipse-rcp Version: 3.8.1-5.1 Severity: serious Justification: Policy 4.9 Control: block 769248 by -1 Hi, When building eclipse using dpkg-buildpackage -B, some files in the eclipse-rcp package are not installed. You can see this by comparing the list of files installed on amd64 vs i386: https://packages.debian.org/jessie/amd64/eclipse-rcp/filelist https://packages.debian.org/jessie/i386/eclipse-rcp/filelist Specifically the lack of /usr/share/java/org.eclipse.jface.jar on i386 causes androidsdk-tools to FTBFS. Looking at debian/rules, the org.eclipse.jface part near the bottom needs to be moved from the arch-independent section to the arch-dependent section. The dh_install override seems to be wrong indeed. It should read override_dh_install-indep: instead of override_dh_install_indep: I'm currently building the package for i386. I think we should add another override_dh_install-arch target and override_jh_classpath target and tidy up debian/rules a little. I'll report back as soon as it's done. Bug#770441: androidsdk-tools: Vcs-* fields do not point to a valid repository
On 11/21/2014 01:35 AM, James Cowgill wrote: Source: androidsdk-tools Version: 22.2+git20130830~92d25d6-1 Severity: minor Hi, Currently the Vcs fields of this package point to: git://anonscm.debian.org/pkg-java/androidsdk-tools.git http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-java/androidsdk-tools.git;a=summary but these pages don't exist, I just get an error when visiting them. Hi James, That's strange - thank you for pointing this out. I have pushed the copy of the repo I had locally (from looking at this package for sponsoring in summer of 2013) and used git-import-dsc to pull in the current version in testing/unstable. This should make it easier to work on the FTBFS bug. Jakub or Stephan, if you have a better/more complete copy of the repo, please scratch what's in /git/pkg-java/androidsdk-tools.git and push your repo. The link is currently still broken, but I think we're just waiting for a cronjob to run on alioth. Once it's there, I'll close the bug. Bug#770744: javamail: FTBFS under pbuilder with USENETWORK=no: Test failure
On 11/23/2014 02:03 PM, Emmanuel Bourg wrote: Le 23/11/2014 22:20, tony mancill a écrit : Emmanuel, any concerns with an upload to disable this test? I share the same feelings and I think this kind of failure should be ignored. My only concern is that we weaken the test coverage and I tend to dislike that, but if hitting a DNS server is a severe policy violation then let's upload a new version. I'm not sure if it is going to be considered RC or not, so I've pushed a patch to the repo that we can use if we need to upload, or revert if it's not required. tony signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature __ This is the maintainer address of Debian's Java team http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers. Bug#770780: Apache ActiveMQ Packaged with Old XStream Library
On 11/23/2014 04:54 PM, Georgi Geshev wrote: Package: activemq Version: 5.6.0+dfsg-1 Apache ActiveMQ as packaged for Debian seems to ship with an old XStream (1.4.2) library[1][2] which allows for instantiating arbitrary classes. This could be leveraged for system command execution as demonstrated against versions before 1.4.7. Hello Georgi, Thank you for the bug report. Could you confirm that this bug report is for Debian stable (wheezy)? Debian testing has had xstream 1.4.7 since March of 2014. Therefore, I believe this is a security bug against the version of libxstream-java found in wheezy. Note that activemq ships a symlink to /usr/share/java/xstream.jar and not the JAR itself, which is installed by the libxstream-java package. If you need an immediate fix, you should be able to install a newer xstream [0] .deb (or symlink to another newer copy of xstream on your system). Thank you, tony [0] https://packages.qa.debian.org/libx/libxstream-java.html signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature __ This is the maintainer address of Debian's Java team http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers.
