Bug#413295: classpath: menus missing in Swing applications
Hi, Torsten Werner twer...@debian.org writes: gij jmenu still shows a window with no menubar so can we reassign this to gij? Bug#413295: classpath: menus missing in Swing applications
Hi, Torsten Werner twer...@debian.org writes: Yes gij and its embedded classpath are quite buggy. It does not make sense to report every single bug in Debian as long as you are not Well gij does provide the java alternative and people sometimes accidentally use it. When they don't see any bugs they assume it should work... I agree this should not be done for all bugs but Swing support is a pretty major part of Java. directly affected by the problem. It might be useful to report the bugs in the upstream bugtracker however. As for upstream: I probably considered the upstream to be claspath in this case. However, I see the menu in kaffe. This made me think the bug is probably in classpath and not in any individual virtual machine. 3) I haven't tested with classpath cvs head since I couldn't figure out how to tell cacao to use classpath cvs head (I did manage to build classpath cvs head with ecj though and I can compile java 1.5 programs with ecj -1.5 -bootclasspath ~/installdir/classpath-2007-01-22/share/classpath/glibj.zip $@ ) Please let me know if you can't reproduce the bug. Bug#383791: checkstyle: source code missing for emma.jar?
Package: checkstyle Version: 4.1-1 Severity: serious Justification: breaks DFSG #2 I just noticed that checkstyle_4.1.orig.tar.gz includes checkstyle-src-4.1/lib/emma.jar which according to unzip -l checkstyle-src-4.1/lib/emma.jar includes e.g. com/vladium/emma/instr/InstrProcessorST.class but I couldn't find source code for this file anywhere in debian. I'm not sure but I think this violates DFSG #2 and at least http://release.debian.org/etch_rc_policy.txt says All content in main and contrib must meet the DFSG, both in .debs and in the source (including the .orig.tar.gz) If the build process does not need emma.jar you probably could just remove it? Otherwise I think you should include the sources as well. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.4.32sauna0 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI (charmap=ISO-8859-1) ___ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers
