Hi Sandro, Backporting Scala to Jessie shouldn't be that difficult, it will require two new packages scala-xml and scala-parser-combinators which aren't in Jessie. The only trick is the recursive build dependency on scala itself. You'll have to install the package manually in pbuilder to satisfy the dependency. I don't have the time to work on this now, so any help would be welcome.
