No. I have removed debian-multimedia repository from apt, and I
raplaced all package from debian-multimedia to debian version, and VLC
still doesn't auto load subtitels.

Eh, sure? The raptor build with the fixed .shlibs (-3 fixed the versioning,
-4 added the missed .shlibs bump) is not yet built on armel and mips. And as
 you
didn't add a bumped build-dep this means that your upload is built against
 those
old versions withut proper .shlibs now.

wb-team: bin-NMU for them in order when raptor 1.4.21-4 is there for armel
 and mips?

liblrdf binNMUd on armel and mips.

Package: cmus
Version: 2.3.3-2
Severity: normal

When I open cmus the volume is always set to 100%. If I turn it down it is
set back to 100% when I exit cmus. When using softvol=true, then the volume
in cmus is saved, however it still sets the master volume of alsamixer to
100%. This is very annoying as you are on full volume when using another
application like vlc.

I think there is no problem beyond relaxing dependencies in _one_
direction but not the other:

  * Apps should depend on libs
  * Libs should suggest daemons
  * Daemons should depend on libs and (at most) recommend apps

ALSA need not be in another package, since a system without alsa would
be really weird.

I think just demoting the pulse and roar depends to Recommends is
enough (AFAIK, this can be done with some dh_shlibdeps magic).

Hi there,

I've tested gwc with pulseaudio here and trying play sound with pa

I looks like pa code is quite immature in gwc.

[qoute]
GWC Changelog
0.21-13
CODE: Better information feedback when libsndfile fails to open file
BUGFIX: pulse audio playback does not register completion
BUGFIX: Makefile.in did not have dependency for audio_pa.c

If anybody will test it and find it reliable, let's enable it.

You probably did not intend such interpretation.
Can you please add explicit licensing statement to this

2011/3/6 jeff welty wel...@yahoo.com:
 Hi Mira,

Thanks for catching that.  There is a README attached to the original tar
archive that clearly indicates the source code may be used freely, this was
1990, long before the open source copyrights started to be written and
 understood.  Here is the README:
 ---
Some software in this archive may be from the book _Methods and
Programs for Mathematical Functions_ (Prentice-Hall, 1989) or
from the Cephes Mathematical Library, a commercial product. In
either event, it is copyrighted by the author.  What you see here
may be used freely but it comes with no support or guarantee.

The two known misprints in the book are repaired here in the
source listings for the gamma function and the incomplete beta
 integral.

If I place the text of this readme in the source files chbelv.c, i0.c and

OK, I found the problem. In Ubuntu, scons is for some reason inserting
-fvisibility=hidden to the gcc/g++ lines, thus crippling the CsoundAC
library. The scons in debian shows no such problem.

The ubuntu people here, how can I get Ubuntu to pick the latest

Yes. I created a natty chroot and rebuilt csound there, reproducing
the problem. Then I downloaded debian's version of scons and installed
it in the natty chroot. The problem disappeared.

Prior to this I tried to debug this with help from Matthias Klose,
ruling out toolchain issues.

The package build-depends on python-central, which should be
removed in time for the wheezy release. dh_python2 should be used instead.
dh_python2 installs into the same locations as pycentral, but
avoids the creation and removal of symlinks at package installation
and removal time, making the upgrade process more robust and faster.
.
dh_python2 guarantees the installation into the same recommended site
directory used by dh_pycentral, into which anybody can install without
being forced to use any packaging helper tools.

Please find suggestions and help for the change at

Hi Jeffrey,

I am taking over gwc package in debian and having some
license concerns:

1) chbevl.c file has this statement

Cephes Math Library Release 2.0: April, 1987
Copyright 1985, 1987 by Stephen L. Moshier
Direct inquiries to 30 Frost Street, Cambridge, MA 02140

Interpreting of such text can be as I own this, please
contact me in
any case!.

You probably did not intend such interpretation.
Can you please add explicit licensing statement to this
file.

best regards

mira

The two known misprints in the book are repaired here in the
source listings for the gamma function and the incomplete beta
integral.

If I place the text of this readme in the source files chbelv.c, i0.c and i1.c,
will that meet your needs?

Best regards,
Jef

Hi,

above is response from upstream, I was asking to solve issue in chbevl.c file.
Would be suggested solution good enough for us?

Can this note in README file solve issue in meschach library?

Not in README but in copyright file. Otherwise yes, that seems fine to
me.

OK, the problem seems to be -as-needed. Compiling with -no-as-needed
results in a correct binary (only in Ubuntu, Debian binaries are OK even
with -as-needed). Why does this fail in Ubuntu but not in Debian? Any
 ideas?

Ubuntu set aggressive default compile flags, whereas Debian set conservative
 ones.

I know that, I wanted to know if somebody had more detail.

OK, I found the problem. In Ubuntu, scons is for some reason inserting
-fvisibility=hidden to the gcc/g++ lines, thus crippling the CsoundAC
library. The scons in debian shows no such problem.

The ubuntu people here, how can I get Ubuntu to pick the latest
version from debian, and then rebuild csound using that?

I've now filed
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/scons/+bug/730447 for tracking
the issue. Ideally we can identify what change in csound is responsible
for this.
