Bug#673616: audacity: Please enable LADSPA v2

2012-05-20 Thread Torquil Macdonald Sørensen
Package: audacity
Version: 2.0.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Please build Audacity with LADSPA v2 support, so I can use the
ir.lv2 impulse response Debian package. As far as I can
see, that is the only possibility for using custom impulse response
files in Audacity on Debian. The SWH impulse convolver LADSPA
plugin doesn't have any custom file facility.

Especially now that rezound, which had IR support, has been taken
out of Debian.

Best regards
Torquil Sørensen

Bug#673695: Mouse wheel up and down no longer

2012-05-20 Thread Chris Lamb
Package: audacious
Version: 3.2.1-4
Severity: minor

Since upgrading from 2.4.4-1+b2, scrolling the mousewheel up and down on
the Winamp Classic Interface no longer modifies the volume.

I seem to rely on this quite a lot; I've tried clicking and draging the
little volume control but it's a bit too fiddly for quick uses.

Indeed it would be useful. Plus, install xcfa-dbg, that would help as well.

Thanks!

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

I got the following error message while building Luppp on Debian
testing:

/libengine_gui.a(lvtwohost.cpp.0.o): In function `Lilv::uri_to_path(char
const*)':
/usr/include/lilv-0/lilv/lilvmm.hpp:24: multiple definition of

./libengine_gui.a(offlineworker.cpp.0.o):/usr/include/lilv-0/lilv/lilvmm.hpp:24:
 first defined here
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

/usr/include/lilv-0/lilv/lilvmm.hpp:24 reads:

const char* uri_to_path(const char* uri) { return lilv_uri_to_path(uri); }

When this header gets included in more than one compilation unit,
uri_to_path gets defined several times, which causes the error.

In the current upstream version of lilv from [1], the function is
declared 'static inline' which fixes the problem.

  Upstream Author : Torben Hohn torb...@gmx.de
* URL : http://www.joebutton.co.uk/fst/
* License : GPL-2
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : JACK-based host to use VST plugins on GNU/Linux

 The FST project aims to allow users to use many VST audio plugins
 on GNU/Linux platforms.
 .
 This package provides a VST compliant host which needs to run as
 JACK client to work properly. Currently it supports GUI-equipped
 plugins only.
 .
 The acronym VST refers to Steinberg's Virtual Studio Technology.
 Although FST supports a large number of VST instruments and effects,
 it is not built using the original VST headers.
