TBQH I don't really care much about this being fixed... now that I know what's the problem I'm simply using write_xing=0 since I'm only interested in constant bitrate. Also, I found that my copy what ffmpeg does patch introduces another bug that makes mediainfo print some garbage (just after the LAME version), so it would require someone who actually knows what the code is supposed to do to debug this. I'll try to look into this as soon as I have a bit of time, but I can't really promise anything. Thanks for providing this patch for the debian mplayer2 packages. Unfortunately, it does not apply cleanly against the upstream version 6c87a98. Would you mind having another look at it? For reference, the debian package bases on: commit 6c87a981baa4972fd71c25dfddea017b5a972e89 I pushed some old not-quite-finished changes which replace lavcresample with lavrresample. While that had some remaining things to fix, it should be much better than just dropping lavcresample as in the patch. Hi Uoti, it's very nice to see you working on mplayer2 again! I've just tried out your patches, unfortunately, This is not enough for allowing compilation against libav10. I've therefore taken Anton's patch, and rebased it onto the two commits that you've just pushed: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-multimedia/mplayer2.git;a=blob;f=debian/patches/ftbfs-libav10.patch I guess it's not ideal, but it allows me to proceed from here. I'll drop it as soon as a better solution lands in mplayer2.git. I'm going to upload a new mplayer2 package compiled against libav10~beta2 soon. Thanks to everyone involved in this.
