binary:libaudcore2 is NEW.

Your package has been put into the NEW queue, which requires manual action
from the ftpteam to process. The upload was otherwise valid (it had a good
OpenPGP signature and file hashes are valid), so please be patient.

Packages are routinely processed through to the archive, and do feel

 Dear Maintainer,

recent version suddenly starts to enumerate dvd tracks at 0 instead of the
usual 1, which means that dvd://1-3 will play tracks 2-4

Yeah, seems like this was on purpose, to make the disc-title property
consistent across bd, mkv and dvd streams (the other two already start from 0).

I don't think there's much I can do about this.

Cheers

Dear Maintainer,

--- The mission

I am converting a lot of old PAL MPEG2 TS files to something else. The
files occasionally have invalid data packages, as is to be expected for
data being received via PB Sat. All these files get happily played by
mplayer. I know little about avlib (except that debian has choosen it
above ffmpeg and I know even less about ffmpeg).

I have seen more bugs and crashes in avconv than you have bug reports on
Debian. Unfortunately all seem to be upstream bugs. Probably you are not
interested in collecting bugs for upstream?

--- The bug of the day

Here a bug example (output of a batch job generated by a shell script):

--- Analysis

As can be seen it's a 2 pass conversion bug. Using -an and /dev/null in
pass 1 is recommended in the documentation.

The error happens at the very end of the conversion. Unfortunately no
moov atom gets written.

A 1 pass conversion works as expected.

There is an an old (2006) Bug report for this on ffmpeg, but it was closed
by the maintainer. But it's still these and hurts.

--- Newer Versions

The version of avconv that is in backports is unusable, avconv seems to
pass parameter values to the codecs that are not acepted, no idea how to
handle this via avconv. Installing from SID is not an option for me.

Anyhow, thanks to all Debian and upstream people for their work!
Jürgen

I tried with a newer version of avplay. Can you perhaps try to compile
libav 9beta2 or at least libav 0.8.4 (statically) and try again? I
guess that this has been fixed in a newer upstream, but it would be
 great to know for sure.

I'm closing this report for now, but feel free to reply with the

Dear Maintainer,

The package bino fails to build from source, because it demands the
presence of libharfbuzz-dev, assuming it as a dependency of package libass.

The configure script fails as seen below:

configure: WARNING: required library libass not found:
configure: WARNING: Package harfbuzz was not found in the pkg-config search
 path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `harfbuzz.pc'
 to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

Since bino itself needs it, maybe it would be interesting to include it as
a build-dep, as found in the patch attached.

Thanks.

Bug #749978: guayadeque: Please update to use wxwidgets3.0

The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal
reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments
were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the
reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is
probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the
actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals.

binary:libdiscid-dev is NEW.

Your package has been put into the NEW queue, which requires manual action
from the ftpteam to process. The upload was otherwise valid (it had a good
OpenPGP signature and file hashes are valid), so please be patient.

Packages are routinely processed through to the archive, and do feel
free to browse the NEW queue[1].

If there is an issue with the upload, you will recieve an email from a

2014-07-01 Thread Jaromír Mikeš

 I normally use:
 $ uscan --verbose --force-download
So I can see what is happening, and to overwrite in case there was any
funny business with another version of the tarball.

I think you need to have a recent version of uscan for the
Files-Excluded bit to work. That could be the problem - it fooled me
 the first time.

Recording how you did the repacking in get-orig-source is probably handy
for the person that packages the next upstream version. Then you can
 just do:
 $ debian/rules get-orig-source
when you want to download the latest and repack (although you have to
check there are no new files that need to be excluded).

Files-Excluded bit not work this way for me :(

Anyway now I now better how to use get-orig-source ... Thank you Ross!

I am the author of zam-plugins and I have made huge improvements
to the package, such as providing GUIs for all plugins.
Please consider updating to the new version upstream (3.1).

The new version does not require any of the old deps except
for the ones listed in the readme, it is a complete rewrite.

Hello Damien,

just work on updating ...
Few questions:
1)
Are you still providing LADSPA plugins too?

#install -t
/tmp/buildd/zam-plugins-3.1~repack0/debian/zam-plugins/usr/lib/ladspa
bin/*-ladspa.so

if not ladspa dir also should be installed.

2)
You shipping lv2 and ladspa header with your code ...
We have lv2-dev and ladspa-dev in debian and we should build against them
rather.

best regards

Hi, are there any news on this bug report?
The straight-forward fix is to simply drop the relevant ControlGroup=
line from the service file. See also [1] for a similar change in Fedora.

But is it a fix? Can you confirm that systemd/linux is doing the right
thing nowadays WRT to cpu cgroups and realtime?

This workaround was there for a reason, as explained by [1]. The
ControlGroup lvalue was removed in systemd 204. Should we need to add
a versioned breaks on systemd 205?

 [1] http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/MyServiceCantGetRealtime/
 although this seems outdated now.

Please see this reply from Lennart on this issue[1]. Unfortunately, I
do not know how to implement such a workaround.

Bug#753435: /usr/bin/ghb: Cannot unselect Burned In subtitle when output is MPEG-4 (avformat)

2014-07-01 Thread Eric Delaunay
Package: handbrake
Version: 0.9.9+svn6032+dfsg1-2
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/ghb

Dear Maintainer,
when ripping a DVD in MPEG-4 format with including subtitles (VOBSUB tracks),
it is impossible to unselect all Burned In radio buttons.
Looking at sources, this restriction seems to come from libhb/common.c,
hb_subtitle_can_pass function, where test if (source == VOBSUB) return 1
exists only for HB_MUX_MP4V2.
Don't know why this test cannot be applied to HB_MUX_AV_MP4 (aka libavformat)
too? It is really annoying to always get a subtitle burned in the video track.
Btw, handbrake from Ubuntu supports it due to its linkage against libmp4v2.

I hope you can find a solution to this problem.
Best regards.
Eric.

Bug#753453: [libav] The next Libav upstream release has it alreadyreleased in NEWS.Debian

2014-07-01 Thread Filipus Klutiero

Version: 6:10.2-1
Severity: minor

NEWS.Debian contains:

libav (6:10.2-1) unstable; urgency=high

   * Disable avserver (Closes: #734335)

It turns out that avserver is pretty much unmaintained these days and
contains obvious bugs. The next Libav upstream release has it already
released, and further maintenance is currently rather unlikely. With
this in mind, the libav package proactively disables the avserver build
   anticipating its removal upstream.

If you are interested in having avserver back and functional, please
   help upstream with reinstantiating it.
