Bug#630549: clementine: Crash when openong visualizations menu
Thomas PIERSON web.pier...@gmail.com writes: Hi, I could not reproduce this bug. I tested on several configurations and it works fine. However, I suspect that this bug is caused by libprojectm2. Package from debian-multimedia.org was working fine. This multimedia package seem to use the embedded version of 'libprojectm2' contrary to the archive package that use the real 'libprojectm2' Debian package instead. So it is possible that there are differences between them. Mais be you need to read the clementine source code ? In CMakeLists.txt : , | option(USE_SYSTEM_PROJECTM Don't set this option unless your system projectM library has been compiled with the Clementine patches in 3rdparty OFF) ` Not a bug surprise if clementine doesn't work if build with the 'real' and apparently broken 'libprojectm2' Debian package. Alessio Treglia ales...@debian.org writes: tags 544062 - wontfix retitle 544062 ITP: xcfa -- X Convert File Audio owner 544062 Alessio Treglia ales...@debian.org thanks I've changed my mind as I use the package almost everyday and it works very, very fine. Moreover, upstream seems back in action now. What about encoding files in aac or mp3 ? The program allows users to encode Audio-CD tracks into many other formats, so: where is the problem? People can't encode in mp3. Do you think ins't a problem ? Anyone who wants to use this application with non-free codecs usually knows how to do that. How ? So, I'm on it, the package will be ready soon. Another useless package in debian. Playing severity and assignment ping-pong is nothing I'd expect from a DD. I don't play with the BTS. Tartler simply changed the bug severity without any explanation. For now and without more info these codecs are forbidden in Debian and the bug severity remain serious and assigned to ffmpeg.
