Thanks fro the heads up.

FYI You can receive automatic notification by e-mail on every hugin
upload from Debian's package tracking system. on
 http://packages.qa.debian.org/h/hugin.html (Select source-upload
 under opts.)

Done.

Is the hugin PPA packaging available in revision control somewhere?

Not yet, although I plan to do so. I'm still trying to build up my
git-foo and find a proper way to layer the branches covering the various
ubuntu versions we need to cover.

In the past I just used the debian directory from a debian release and
added the PPA bits to this. This had the disadvantage that I had to redo
some modifications over and over again because older ubuntu versions
used different libraries than the current one. The whole process was
rather tedious and error prone.

In the future, I'd like to have a repo that I can use to filter down the
changes required for the backports from either the actual debian release
or my own changes (which I planned to send as patches to you).

If this really works out, I will publish the repo and the documentation
for it. However, this will take some more time as my experience with git
leaves something to be desired.

With kind regards

Stefan Peter

We already have this in experimental (Includes your patches 1, 2):

Sorry, I didn't intend to waste your time. Obviously, I used the
unstable branch instead of the experimental branch as the base for my
modifications. I will rebase and let you know whats left over from my
patches.

Patches 4 5 are in hugin HG and should be included in beta2.

Yes, this was mentioned in the cover letter, too.

We will need a equivalent of Patch 3 in experimental, though.

I will have a look at this.

Thank you for the review.

With kind regards

Stefan Peter

Hello Stefan,

I have just made a new hugin upload to experimental, updating the
source to tip of upstream HG 2012.0 branch. (Which includes the
necessary fix.)
