[Pkg-xfce-devel] gtk2-engines-xfce override disparity

2009-04-03 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

gtk2-engines-xfce_2.6.0-2_amd64.deb: package says section is xfce, override
says x11.

Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the
archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell,
httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video,
xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into
these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if
the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package
at the next upload.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.
Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we won't be able
to deal with your mail due to missing information.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you replied to one
like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore
this mail. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in
due course, but until then the installer will send these automated
mails; sorry.]

Package: gtk2-engines-xfce
Version: 2.4.2-2
Severity: wishlist

Is there any way to remove or change the dependency for xfce4-icon-theme? The
icons look rather ugly compared to those of tango-icon-theme.

If I remove /usr/share/icons/Rodent from my system, the whole desktop looks
nicer. But removing the package would be a much cleaner solution.

Perhaps you can change the dependency so the user can choose.

Regards
 Stephan

[Pkg-xfce-devel] libxfce4menu override disparity

2009-04-03 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

libxfce4menu-0.1-0_4.6.0-3_amd64.deb: package says section is xfce, override
says libs.
libxfce4menu-0.1-dbg_4.6.0-3_amd64.deb: package says section is debug, override
says libs.
libxfce4menu-0.1-dev_4.6.0-3_amd64.deb: package says section is xfce, override
says libdevel.

Package: xfce4-terminal
Version: 0.2.8-4

When I click on a link in Terminal, my browser opens and loads it,
that is fine. But when the link does contain a comma, it
gets (url)encoded and the server does not know what it should serve.
For example I see
https://forum.syscp.org/index.php/topic,679.0.html
but Iceweasel gets
https://forum.syscp.org/index.php/topic%2C679.0.html
which it cannot load.

That works fine in urxvt or just by calling 'iceweasel link-with-comma'

Package: xfce4
Version: 4.3.90.1-2
Severity: wishlist

I just upgraded to 4.3.90.1 (Xfce 4.4 BETA1) and noticed that some of
my keyboard shortcuts quit working. I looked at Xfce Settings Manager
- Windows Manager - Keyboard, my profile was still intact after the
upgrade and my keybindings for Alt-F1 and Alt-F2 were there, and
there was no conflicting command with the same keybindings.

However, Alt-F1/F2 reverted to default Xfce behavior, Xfce help and
run command, respectively. I took me quite some time to discover Xfce
Settings Manager - Keyboard - Shortcuts. In there there is a
Default shortcut profile that seems to have precedence over the
Windows manger keyboard shortcuts.

So, my wish list item for upstream would be to merge these into a
single keyboard shortcuts. If that is not possible then at least on
upgrade, if a new default shortcut exists make sure that it's not
clobbering an existing previously defined and working shortcut defined
by the user.

Thanks,

Troy

[Pkg-xfce-devel] orage override disparity

2009-04-03 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

orage_4.6.0-2_amd64.deb: package says section is xfce, override says x11.

Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we won't be able
to deal with your mail due to missing information.

like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore
this mail. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in
due course, but until then the installer will send these automated

It would be nice if Thunar would remember, when it is closed, that its window
was maximized, and maximize the window the next time it is run. Obviously, this
is not a serious defect, but I have a rather small screen and generally want
everything maximized.

'lo.

I've just experienced this, which is very boring: play say openarena windowed,
with gajim underneath, basically playing while waiting for someone's input.
Assume someone talks, gajim sends urgent hint or the like, and its window
borders start blinking. That might be just a bit boring, but that's worse. It
*never* stops blinking. I guess a reasonable number ( 10), or better yet, a
configurable number of blinks could be implemented.

Thanks for considering.

Cheers,

Hi,

xfdesktop4 currently depends on xfce4-utils. This is so
some of the menu entries work in the xfce menus.

I forcibly deinstalled xfce4-utils and the major parts of
xfdesktop4 package can still be used:
- The menu plugin in xfce4-panel works
(except of course the few entries, where the program is
  missing)
- All shipped programs seem to work fine:
  xfce4-popup-menu, xfdesktop, xfce4-menueditor

Note: thunar (needed for the File Manager menu item)
already is only Recommended. So I think, this is fine for
xfce4-utils too.

The Policy Manaul about Recommends:

 `Recommends'
This declares a strong, but not absolute,
  dependency.

The `Recommends' field should list packages that
would be found together with this one in all but
  unusual installations.

In other words: Anyone not installing a Recommends
accepts a small breakage. In this case the breakage is not
working menu items. Not good, but unusual installation
is a perfect term.

Severity: normal

(I know it is a slightly outdated version, but given the changelog...)

Hi,

in xfce-setting-show, when clicking ``Window manager'', then
``Keyboard'' tab, and then adding ``\o/'', the setting manager just
crashes. Please also note that on restart, a ``\o'' item is then
present, without the trailing slash.

I know that xfce-setting-show is crashing, but it looks to me it is
actually due to /usr/lib/xfce4/mcs-plugins/xfwm4_plugin.so from the
xfwm4 package.

Just in case it is kinda useful (gdb's output doesn't look like...),
below are the last lines of an strace.

Cheers,

the point and I can't seem to find the discussion in the archives.

Regards,

Daniel

[Pkg-xfce-devel] gigolo override disparity

2009-04-03 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

gigolo-dbg_0.3.0-1_amd64.deb: package says section is x11, override says debug.
