[qmailtoaster] Maximum Quota?

2007-09-18 Thread Roxanne Sandesara
Is there something with qmailadmin, or anything else anyone can think
of or point me to, that determines an absolute maximum for allowable
quota for a user's account?

When I attempt to raise a quota on my system above 2gb (2048mb), the
system sets a quota of 2048. I have users with a good bit more than
that in their email stores currently on their computers.

Now that I've managed to build a successful Horde installation, I've
been seriously considering moving everyone to using Horde rather than
Outlook (and a smattering of other clients). But if I can't bump
their quota up any higher than 2048, I won't be able to do that, as
I'll max them out just moving their email up onto the server.

The max quota size per user is 2GB. I can't remember if this is a
limitation of qmail itself, vpopmail, courier-imap, or a combination of
all of those. At any rate, you can't exceed 2GB to my knowledge.

[qmailtoaster] Mail not being delivered to recipients inbox.

2007-09-18 Thread Khan Mohamed Ashraf
Hi,
This is the first time I am posting to this list.
Forgive me if I am making any goof ups.

I have a qmailtoaster install from
the 1.2 version ISO.
qtp-whatami v0.2.4
DISTRO=CentOS
OSVER=4.4
ARCH=i686
BUILD_DIST=cnt40

I am having the following problem
A particular domain's mail does not get delivered to the recipients mailbox.

This is the failure message at the mail sender's end

But mail from all other domains are being delivered.
It is to be noted that this started only since the 10th of Sept. Prior to
this mail from the all domains including the particular one was being
delivered.
I am appending the relevant portions of the /var/log/qmail/smtp/current
logfile

Please note that I have masked the id/domain due to security/privacy
reasons.

I got this

it seems your qmt trying to get sender's domain's SPF record but failed
many times and sender's server always trying to send as long as it still
below it's queuelifetime

and after that it respond back to the sender. what you can do is
- check the sender domain's SPF record from your qmt (does it get it?)
--- or ---
- disable SPF check
change /var/qmail/control/spfbehaviour into 0 or 1

Re: [qmailtoaster] Maximum Quota?

2007-09-18 Thread Roxanne Sandesara
Does anyone out there know specifically which piece or pieces are
actually imposing the limit? I'd like to figure out whether or not
there is some way to get around this, either now, or some time in the
near-ish future with some work or future development.

Currently, it appears that qmail-admin won't allow a specified size
greater than 2gb. Meanwhile, the actual upload is choking at 1gb.

Thanks!
That's fixed the issue.
I am just a little curious, as to why it should have happened all of a
sudden.
Could it be that, that particular domains SPF setup was changed?
