RE: [qmailtoaster] Spamdyke Question
All, What I mean is that something gives the email an initial score before it is run through Spamassassin (If I am remembering correctly). I can see it in the SMTP log. When I look at the same email in the SPAMD log, I see that it has a -98 score (which it should). If that inital score is above a set number, the server responds with Your email appears to be spam back to the sender and deletes the email. That is the number I am looking to edit. RE: [qmailtoaster] Spamdyke Question
What I have been looking for is coming from SIMSCAN. Example: @40004dadb18d21bb085c simscan:[14223]:CLEAN (3.60/8.00):9.6446s:***SPAM*** :216.157.241.10:bounce-339012-130...@listserv.ncmpt76.com:joey@renshawauto.c om Am I incorrect in this? Is this actually a report back to the SMTP log of the Spamassassin scrore? Thanks Carlos. So what is it that scores the emails before it gets ran through Spamassassin? That is where these emails are being scored high. [qmailtoaster] Spamdyke Question
Does Spamdyke log its activity? Specifically, does it maintain a log of the messages it rejects? I've checked /var/log/qmail, /var/log, and hunted around /opt/ spamdyke without finding any immediately apparent likely candidates. The .conf file states log level 2, but I am afraid I'm just newbie enough I don't actually know the definition of that convention. I'm curious, because I would like - if at all possible - to be able to search such a log, in the case of an email a user states is 'missing' or not received. (I'm trying to be pre-emptive.)
