[R-sig-Debian] a WSL question with allocation problems
Hello! Hope everyone is staying well. I’m not sure if this is the right list for this question, but here goes. I am using the new experimental WSL on my Windows laptop. It was going well until yesterday. I’m using Ubuntu 20.04. I am starting to get “ error: cannot allocate vector of size 1.3 gb”. I have 32 gb of RAM. I tried using “unlimit -v 16”, not working. Has anyone else had trouble with this, please? I’m thinking that it might be because of the newness of the WSL platform. Re: [R-sig-Debian] [R] vignette problem
Terrific! It worked like a charm! Thanks so much! You can install it with $ sudo apt-get install xpdf or, use evince (which is the default pdf viewer in Ubuntu). To do this, change this option in your R session: options(pdfviewer = /usr/bin/evince) and try again. You may also want to put this line in your .Rprofile file if you want to keep evince the default for all R sessions from now own. [R-sig-Debian] demonstrate multiple core use
Hi all! I have a quad core computer and I'd like to run some Rmpi code. However, I would like to be able to demonstrate that all 4 cores are running. Is there a way to do that, please? [R-sig-Debian] [R-sig-debian] dumb debian question
Hi all! I have installed Debian on a partition of my desktop. When I first installed it, I got the Debian logo, with the appropriate icons. Now when I go into Debian, I just get a command line.
