It worked fine for me --kubuntu 7.10, automatically ran the mplayer plugin for mozilla firefox. Nice to have a system which just works! Unfortunately, QuickTime is not forthcoming with information needed to figure it out (maybe because the actual format embedded in the container format is not easy for it to figure out; just a guess).
